I now have a hole in my thumb :(
Around 6 pm this evening when i had chloe go to the kitchen to get me something she lets out this blood curtling scream and furiously ran back upstairs screaming "it's a mouse it's a mouse by the garbage can" practically in tears. I thought it was her imagination getting the best of her so told her to come with me and it will be okay. i picked up something and hit the garbage can- nothing, okay cool so i moved the garbage can, still nothing. so im like girl there's nothing, then all of a sudden from behind the kitty litter pan runs this small grey object...i jumped back so effin quick! there i stood with a plank of wood in my hand waiting on this thing to come out from under chloe's step stool so i could bash its head in...i threw things at the stool, hit the stool...NOTHING! UGH! so off to busy beaver i went with chloe. got a reusable plastic rat trap, just incase it's a rat cuz idk which it is, and some bait. get home read directions, which i never do and now i know why, and i hear the 'click' like it says i will when the thing is set....i go to move my hand and BAM it gets my thumb! one of the plastic spike things punctured my thumb...only me right! now at this point im screaming every name in the book totally oblivious to the fact chloe's right there, WHOOPS! after i cursed the trap out i put it on the floor and set it with my foot since i had shoes on then gingerly nudged it over to where i wanted it, near the garbage can. went downstairs to the basement to place bait and noticed this pipe had been uncovered. like a week ago or so i noticed the cover was off, i put it back on thinking nothing of it, but i'm guessing that's how this unwanted guest got in! UGH! i can't feel my thumb from the bending knuckle up why couldn't he have just come out so i could play crochet(sp??)

I don't have the fear of insects, or even a small garter snake but you let me see a mouse, and I'm done. lol always have been so afraid of them. If it is just a small mouse, do you think it will just trip the rat trap, or is it big enough that it would get a hole in it during the snap? thank goodness it is plastic and not metal! yikes. the plastic is bad enough. brilliant idea though. I've never seen them with spikes. maybe some ice will help the swelling and pain?

I had a cat who would bring me mice to kill for her. (She had bad teeth) I have gotten used to stepping on mice to kill them
To get flowers, you need more than sunshine, you need chit and rain too

Oh, funny story...sorry, probably not as funny to you! Darn mice. I am not too weird about mice, but my parents had a bat issue many years ago. That turned me into a squealing toddler state (at 25) like nothing else!
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.
