grrr stupid PS3

No worries teen, take it back ....if you just bought it you won't have any problems. On that note, my bro bought one of the first playstation 3s several years ago, it was a reverse compatible one ((played PS2 and PS1 games)) He had it for around 2.5 years and then it crapped out on him, he played it a LOT. I think I sound like an older person why I say, they don't make them how they used to!

I ordered it online at BJ's, I sent them an email to see if I could just take it back to an actual store or if I have to ship it back.....

You should be able to call Sony to troubleshoot the problem/replace it. I have never had any problems with my Sony products. We've had one of the first PS3's as well (the backwards compatible one). It's still going strong (of course, we are pretty OCD with electronics and are always super-careful, never leave them on, etc.).

I don't have any game systems but I googled to see if there is a way to remove the game. One way was to take it apart but that would void your warranty.

Another was to use some tweezers to try to grab it out. If you're worried about the disc getting scratched then try using 2 Q-Tips as tweezers.
The person that had the disc stuck did use the tweezers to get it out.

Found this at another site no one said if it worked or not. Try holding down the eject button for 10 seconds??? that apparently forces the disc to be ejected.

Here is something else I found

Please keep in mind that these tips are not sure fire and not endorsed by the Sony Playstation 3 folk. With that said, say a prayer and try some of these suggestions.

1. Try turning the ps3 on and off and then hitting eject.

2. Do Not try to open up the playstation. You may do more damage than good.

3. Try to halfway insert another game, cd, or dvd into the playstation 3 and press eject.

4. Here's the one that worked for me. I slid another compact disc into the console almost all the way but still holding on to it and pushed up as I pulled the disc back out. To my suprise another disc began to slide out with it. I had no idea how many discs were actually inside the ps3, but when I hit eject the original game that was in there still would not come out, so I new something still wasn't right. I repeated the process a few more times and low and behold, I had a total count of four, aside from the game. At last, eject finally pushed hubby's NBA Live out of the playstation.

Wow, I have 2 and never saw that happen. That's rather odd. The store should let you exchange it.

well I just went for it and put another game in, it worked, my husband swears his madden game is in there, so the other one shouldnt work if it was?
when I start it that blue light that says there is a disc inside doesnt come on...


Bjs is going to take it back, but I have to wait for a call tag, whatever the heck that is! lol

Glad one of those suggestions worked for you and you were able to get your game out. If you read the whole thing the lady said she got 4 games out of her game system so maybe your husbands game is still in there. I wouldn't think any games would work if more than one is in there, but then I don't have the game system and really don't know anything about them.
