I have her child overnight because??

My best friend is having issues with her now ex, he was cheating blah blah. He's still at her house so she came over this evening with her 10 mo old son. I know how her ex is, a big juicebox screaming yelling threatening pushing etc, so i told her i'd keep the baby while she went home to try to persude him to leave. She went home apparently everything went 'okay' he's still there she can't kick him out nor get a PFA because he's never hit her blah blah, so she's on her way to his other baby mama's house so she can call him and she can hear the truth while he thinks he's only talking to the other baby mama(about them sleeping together while he was with my best friend...drama llama i tell ya!!). So i asked her what she was doing after that, her response was "getting something to eat then going over CJ's to get some sleep"............UMMMMMMMMM WTF......why don't you come over to my house if you're not going to be at your house and take care of your child. the only reason i took the baby overnight was because i thought she'd be at her house with the juicebox there giving her issues, which apparently isn't the case. The juicebox called while she was on the phone with me, she went to answer it and didn't come back on the line and when i called her back(TWICE!!) it rang once and then vm...again WTF!!!

Seriously- i try to do something nice for a friend and she goes out and takes advantage of it? It's not like I don't have stuff I need to do in the morning so it's an inconvienence to me but i was sucking it up...now i'm pretty pissed about it!

if you know where she is take the baby to her,or be waiting at her door, for her-i know you were being nice, but she just took advantage of you, maybe she did this to you,to just get time away, and if she did, that was so wrong of her-
if i was you i would go find her,and if you cant, then tell her when she comes to pick the baby up,that will be 35 dollars please, for watching your child for you.

Tell her if she doesn't give you a number to reach her at in an emergency or her whereabouts she's up the creek without a paddle.
What kind of mother leaves their child with someone and with no way of contacting them.
If that were my friend, it'd be the last time I gave her free babysitting because that's what it seems like she really wanted.
I'm a b!tch when it comes to people trying to put one over on me. That bullsh!t.

I don't think a 10 month old should have been dragged around all night looking for the mother nor dumped on to anyone else. What she did was wrong, however, that little baby didn't do anything wrong. I hope you just kept him home with you safe until his mother came and then read her the riot act.

She sounds like a piss poor mother.
I would have no qualms about callin Child Protective Services, because, as per your OP, she abandonned the child. And she puts said child in an environment that could turn ugly at the drop of a hat. It isn't because he hasn't hit her yet that he never will.
My advice....call someone to come and remove the child from both your care and hers, and never talk to her again. Unless you are the kind of person who likes being used as a dorrmat.

Wow, talk about going to the extreme end of extreme.

No wonder CPS is overrun with cases that are nothing but BS and kids actually DIE everyday because of people with ideas and attitudes like yours.

well, how did your evening go with the bundle of joy (baby)? I hope you got to sleep all night.

Sorry this happened to you, but sounds like you were better to watch him/her instead of being drug all around tim-buck-two and being in the middle of drama.
But next time, I would definitly have to lay some ground rules, like, what time will you be back? Give me a number to reach you etc.... and, don't ever do that again!

This is why I stay out of other people's relationship drama. I can't stand it nor the baby mama bullchit. Most of the time people bring this drama upon themselves or allow it to continue. Time for her to grow up.

Because you know, it's dumb to actually take preventative actions is this sort of a case where a mother doesn't really care 2 ****s and will drop off her baby without an emergency number.

I thought Child Protective Services were there not only to remove children in dire situations, but also to prevent them from getting to that point.
    My bad.
