You should be able to set up anonymous call rejection. Anyone that calls with a private or blocked number will get a message that you do not accept such calls and they will have the option to unblock their number and be put through or hang up. Call your phone company.

get a whistle and blow it in the phone when they call. That is what my grandma use to do...lol

the phone company may offer a program like privacy manager(called in Michigan) where the number is still blocked but in order for it to go through they have to identify themselves and the call comes through a special number from the phone company.

Dogs, BIG dogs. Is there any way to put like a net wire protecting thing around the motion lights (light bulb), so they can't break them? Talk to ALL of your neighbors, get the word out what is going on. I would call the police EVERY time something happened, untill you annoy the hell out of them and get them to help you, is there a TV station you could turn to with your story. I know around here they have something like, channel 2 works for you etc....
Depending on your neighbors if they have kids etc. you could put an electric fence up. I would hang up bells or something that would make noise for you to hear inside of the house on the windows and doors if someone tries to mess with them/come in.
Do you have any guy friends, or any girl friends with boyfriends/husbands...??

Cabby and Sunflowers already gave my suggestions. The whistle is a very good idea. It will hurt them. The calls will stop once they've dealt with that once or twice. You may even get the satisfaction of blowing out their eardrum.

This is so much more than just prank,annoying calls. They are stalking. Tell the pd that you have written a memoir of the events and their lack of interest. Tell them you keep it updated on an internet site that only 2 people have the addy to and when something happens to you, they will make it public and lawsuits will follow.
Go to the DA and complain too.
I wish you luck. I am just outside Chicago and the person using 911 as a weapon against me gets away with it because in Illinois, they need to "maintain the integrity of the 911 system." Even when it is all BS. Like saturday another 911 call saying i was beating my hubby up in the front yard.
Hubby got pissed and almost got arrested. This is the 4th time this has happened. Always involving me beating up my kids or killing my kids, and now hubby. They do nothing.

Just curious, do you know if there was a woman who may have been interested in Joe while you were seeing him? There are a lot of psychos there, and she may have targeted you, because Joe was not interested in her.

Illinois does NOT allow anonymous call rejection! The only thing I can do is sign up for "Privacy Manager" which has a monthly fee and a set up fee as well. AND the phone company said that the calls will still come thru and I still will not be able to tell who it really is. They really protect the "anonymous"-privacy issues they say!!! If I change my phone number, I risk losing potential clients because that number is listed EVERYWHERE and its really hard to change it once listings are already published and online etc.
I spoke with a detective last night who informed me that they still hadnt gotten the info from the phone company!!! They were supposed to fax it to them the day I called but apparently they did not. I am waiting for the call center to open today to find out why it never was sent!
You people have to realize I live in CHICAGO-in the city. The police dont really give two flying monkeys about things like this and the media would say its a non story. Everyone gets crank phone calls and people attempt to break into homes etc every day here!
And its NOT Joe. It has nothing to do with him. He is out of the picture. Leave that part alone PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I'm not thinking it's Joe. He sounded like a really good guy. I'm just wondering if it could be a woman who is interested in Joe.
Many, many moons ago, when I was still dating, some crazy girl targeted me because a guy she was interested in, wanted to date me. He and I were friends because I was not interested in anything else, but eventually I made him stay away from me because of that crazy woman.
