I do not understand the time frame either. Like the case of Richard Speck, murdering those nurses. Yet he sits in prison having a good time with his hormones and boobs, and on our dime to boot.

When I said that about worrying about someone being hurt, I was talking about the fact that the way they do the death penalty now, they administer a drug first to make sure the person is out and doesn't feel any pain. I didn't mean that you said that. Sorry if I confused you.

I can actually... the choice is death in the manner the state has set or not... It's not a question of how, it's a question of if. Don't make my arguement something it's not.

I think if a person is on death row, they should be killed in the manner that they killed their victims. And I think that death should be swift too, not waiting for years on death row for it to come about. And I am personally sick of the defense "well, so and so had a bad childhood, blah blah blah.............."And I also agree that if a person gets life in prison then they should stay there until they die.

I used to be for the DP until my cousin and her husband of 9 months were murdered by a scumbag. When the trial began everyone was for this man being put to death. Besides killing my cousin and her husband he also killed 2 other people the same day. After killing them he stuffed their bodies in huge tractor tires like they were trash. Anyway, my aunt (cousins mom) didn't want the man to get the DP. When they gave him the DP she went before the judge and requested for him to get life in prison instead because she said that God and maybe someone else had plans for him that would make him suffer. They gave him the DP anyway. From the first day the man stepped foot in the prison my aunt started sending him letters and pictures of my cousin and her husband. In the letters she talked about all the wonderful things my cousin did growing up and how much she wanted to do in life, but didn't get to because of the scum of a man he was. She sent pictures of my cousin starting from her as a baby and every other letter was another one of her each year of her life. My aunt is the "someone" that had a plan for him. One of the guys that worked at the prision told my dad that those letters made the scum hurt everyday for what he did. He was supposed to be put to death by injection, but he ended his own life by hanging himself in his cell. He left behind a letter for my aunt. I never got to read the letter but my aunt said that what she set out to do was accomplished. I guess it's different believing in the DP if you've had someone you loved murdered.

my cousin was gunned down by his car,8 years ago,for doing nothing, and the person has never been found, who did this,if he/she is ever caught, they deserve the dp,cause they didnt give my cousin that choice,if he wanted to live or die!!!!!
mikang-your aunt-was smart, she let that guy know what he did,she didnt let him forget it-kudos to her.
and i still say-no matter what-they deserve to get what they dished out
maybe then all this senseless killings would stop' start making people examples-kill be killed-rape be raped-stab someone get stabbed-beat someone get beat.
i bet it would stop alot of crimes
we need to stop babying criminals
