thanks to all your responses to explaining it. It explains alot to me now about my husband, I do wish he would get some help. But he won't, he doesn't want to.... so, you can't help those that don't want it! Makes a lot of sense though, I know that I have seen him TRY to go for a day, 2 at the very most without a drink and he's on the couch sicker than a dog.
So terrible, I do have a big heart though..... and feel sorry for those that get addicted, because I know that it wasn't there intentions to be a alchoholic or druggy addict when they took that first drink etc... so sad. They don't understand or see anything, they are loosing out on so much in life, especially if they have a family!

THANKS SO MUCH!!!!! Here I was thinking it was insane to tell him to keep drinking, especially because he now sees what his drinking is doing to all of us who love him and WANTS to quit. I had no idea what could happen if he just up a quit! Good news is that they said they have a space for him this weekend. Bad news is that we cant find him at the moment. I just hope we get him there on Sat am before they give his space away to someone else and then we have to wait again!!!!
And HUGS to you Jasmine. I hope your DH realizes what he is doing and gets the help he needs.
And congrats to you JerseyBarb. You are awesome!!!
