*sigh*
So, I would like to know what in the hell is wrong with me.
For the past year, the day I start my period, I am in unbearable pain.
I cramp. I vomit. I have migraines. My back hurts. I have cold sweats. I can't move. I can't eat. I can't even sleep the pain is so severe.
And its always the first(sometimes the second as well) day of starting.
Can anyone suggest what I should do?
Pain killers of any sort never work. Neither do heating pads, or a warm bath.
My periods are so bad, I feel like dying.
Also, I have read that birth control helps.
I just started birth control today.
Of course it wouldn't help yet, as I just began the medication, but my period was so severe today. I ate a hot pocket for breakfast, and threw up all day, even when I had an empty stomach.
Someone pleeaseeee help me.
I am pretty much desperate.

I wish I could help but I don't know what it is , I just know that I dealt with the same thing as a teenager and it is horrible. That was in the late 80's and they didn't use the pill for that then, atleast it wasn't offered to me. I do know that after I had my daughter at 18 and then went on the pill it went away.
I do want to wish you the very best and I truly hope that the pill will work, I hear it does.

yeah, that ^^
could be endometriosis.
That causes very miserable periods. Yes, the birth control pill does help, maybe soon you will feel some comfort.

My daughter had something simular and it ended up being her eggs bursting in her ovaries. She now has to be on the depo shot to prevent the pain.

I had endometriosis, and while I never had vomiting, I had most of the other symptoms. I couldn't even get out of bed on the 2nd day because I bled so bad. I was going thru a super tampon and a big huge pad in 30 mins. The pill might help some, as long as you arent a smoker. I couldn't take birth control.. I tried them all. bled for 3 wks at a time on the pill, and bled a whole 12 months on the shot. I got a hysterectomy and ahhhh problem solved.

As someone who works in the field of OB-GYN, I wouldn't venture a guess. It could be one of dozens of thing. Your best bet is to get to call your doctor. You'll hear many things here that might not be close to what you have. Without knowing your age and history, it's impossible to give anything more then a speculation. Good luck.

Thank you everyone so much.
I go in to see the Gyn on Nov. 24.
I will be certain to ask about it then.
Thanks again.
I'm feeling much better today though.

Since you seem to have the pain only during your cycle, it could be fibroids. But like speedygirl said, its only speculation. Many OB -GYN symptoms overlap.

PS. I hope you feel better. I know what that type of pain is like!

Just an FYI it could take months for any birth control to help. I was on one birth control and was having horrible cramping even while taking them, then my Dr. switched me and I'd say it took a good 4-5 months before I noticed any changes.
