Got the Holiday '09 issue in the mail today wrapped in plastic.

It also came with a preferred subscriber invoice of $6.99 for a year. ((regular $13.98)

when did they start charging?

I got the same thing yesterday.

I guess they have to make money somehow.

I won't be able to subscribe though.

I got that too. Too bad because I really liked the magazine-good recipes and coupons.

I thought they were no longer sending them as of a year ago. I guess that was false, since they are still sending them. I think that they are a really nice form of free advertising, but I won't pay either.

I've been getting these since before I can remember, I got the same thing to order it as well and because I collect them plus other recipe books I will be getting it

Yep,got the same thing. I only liked it when it had good coupons. I have no interest in paying for something I can get online.
Owell its less that will go in the recycle bin........

I'm not about to pay someone to sell me their advertising. I liked the magazine but it really is just one big well done advertisement.
