Booboo's hurt
I've been wondering what's up with Booboo (our resident bear) since I haven't seen him in a few weeks. Sunday night I was watching Mad Men and I heard the familiar banging around on our porch. I flipped on the light and there he was. He was fumbling with our trash box (about 3 1/2 feet X 3 feet X 2 feet made out of 1/2" plywood, so it's really heavy), trying to knock it over for his buffet. He used to flip it at will and Sunday he seemed to be struggling. He barely glanced at me when I turned on the light and then he gave up and turned to leave. He has a big, fresh wound on his flank. It's about a foot long and looks like it is just starting to heal.
Poor guy, I actually felt sorry for him. He just seemed so weak. My husband said I could not flip the trash over for him no matter how weak Booboo is. He's such a meanie.
I think I've grown attached to this bear.

I guess you just have to leave him a 'get well' pic-a-nic basket....

I thought about the pic-a-nic basket too!
When he was lumbering away Sinday night I had this overwhelming urge to run out and put my arms around his middle and give him a big hairy hug. Probably a good thing I resisted that urge, huh?

Yeah, I think that was a good resist....:

aw, poor thing, I would be tempted to throw him out something to eat also. BUT, then he will be back for more, and expect you to do it again..... pretty neat though you have a bear!!

you should call your nearest rangers office or animal control and report his injury
its cruel to leave him hurt like that and not see if somebody could help him,
and injured animals can be dangerous if not to you maybe to someones animals or small child , if he cant feed himself he can turn to eatting small animals or small children,,,,,,,,,,,
call someone please ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Ok here is what you do...
Make him a nice pot of chicken noodle soup (you know since he is hurt). Have him pose for a picture while he is eating. When he is finished give him a big ole bandaid and neosporin and then I am sure he will gladly hug you.
The more you complain, the longer God makes you live.
