I just told the ex that I refuse to buy AJ clothing for xmas- his gf gets mad if it's not from oshkosh or designer, because "walmart and target clothes are ugly and too cheap".

($8 for a pair of Faded Glory jeans. I can buy them new for a couple of dollars more!) We also have a place called Sweet Repeats that only sells name brands but they are way overpriced too. I was looking for jeans once for my 11 year old and found a pair with the tag still on and Sweet Repeats was selling it for $5 more than the tag price!
That is so true about Once Upon a Child! I am convinced that the managers or owners of the stores must shop rummage sales for inventory mostly. It is crazy that they pay pennies for things, yet are super picky about what they take, but then shelf faded, worn out things.
We had us, we had him, now we have everything.

Too funny....DH wanted to name our dd Chloe Marie, but I chose something different.
I love Target clothes. and I think Walmart's clothes are getting better all the time, I can usually find several things I really like!

the once upon a child here is great, none of the kids clothes are over $3 or so for anything.

I agree about the clearance. I don't shop walmart, target, kmart, etc for my clothes and definitely wouldn't expect my children to wear clothes from there either. I'm also not into second hand stores as the ones out here just don't seem to have stuff I'd really wear. Of course I don't have Hollister, A&F (nor will I ever, hate that place) etc. I shop Old Navy and Kohls a lot. When it comes to shoes I will NOT shop payless unless I absolutely have to, plus quite honestly I can get name brand shoes for less than what they charge for their no name ones.
