I just let my daughter choose. I told her we spend 250.00 no matter what she buys. She soon relized that that didn't go as far as she hoped. After that every year got easier. She's down for looking for sales and even will shop target and walmart. They just need to relize what all that stuff cost.

My boys aren't bad... My DD 2 years ago however, I wanted to knock her out. lol. She'd complain about not having baby phat this or apple bottom that.. Then she realized how much stuff really costs when she had her first job and I told her if she wanted that stuff to save up and buy it herself.. She knocked it off after that lol

Just wanted to add that JCPenney usually has some killer clearance sales off season. I always buy my boys stuff that way esp. my oldest who is picky now about what he wears. Over the summer, I bought a bunch of stuff on clearance and put it away for school. Spent about $250 on oldest DS but got him an entire wardrobe of southpole, whitetag, vans stuff. Probably about 4 pairs of shorts, 5 pairs of jeans, tons of shirts, and hoodies, 1 pair of vans skate shoes and a pair of nike running shoes plus underwear and socks. He wears mens sizes but they had some really awesome deals. If he is into those brands at all keep your eye out. The next big clearance is usually around the 3rd week of January and here in NC all the winter stuff will be 70%off the already reduced clearance prices. They also do a sale on athletic shoes every so often where they are buy one get anothe pair for 1 cent.

Forgot to add that HotTopic has a lot of clearance sales and usually some online coupons and codes you can use as well if he is into that sort of style at all.

Old navy has awesome clearance racks, I've gotten her stuff for $1 up to $6...I got her this one dress for .97 and she LOVED it, wanted to wear it daily LOL!
Me too! clearance is the way to go. sometimes have great luck at yard sales as well. I recently bought 2 totes full of Gymboree clothes for my two girls, plus some very nices shoes and a couple of halloween costumes, 2 pettiskirts, a bookshelf with 6 pottery barn metal tins, two sets of pottery barn curtains and two shopping bags full of handmade harbows to match all those oufits all for less than $100!

Licchl05 Can ask how old your Chloe is and her middle name? Just curious I have a Chloe too!
