I think I questioned my parent or a relative why so-and-so got so much 'xyz' and help but I didn't.....and the reply was that this person had couldn't handle the situation/not as capable by themselves but you (meaning me) doesn't need the help because you (me/I) was much more self sufficient.
I couldn't agree more, my parents have helped my older sis so much more than me over the years for the same exact reason...I'm the strong one, the one who's a fighter, the one who does whatever it takes to get through a situation.
Does it piss me off that my sister has had 4 cars handed to her, or money from my parents, tires for the cars, her house (mom bought it for her and sis pays a mortgage of like $250 a month on it, less than 1/2 my freaking rent!!!) etc...hell yeah....but at the end of the day i can look at my house and car and say i got it all by myself.

So sorry for you. But you did something alot of people only dream of doing. Congrats to you. I would try really hard not to let them get under your skin. Life is toooo longggg to worry about stuff like that. Now is your chance to shine. Hold your head up and know that you will NEVER do your children this way. HUGS!!!
