I'm going crazy..
the ice cream person drove down our street with that annoying music blaring, which is bad enough, but there's a garbage sale next door and the ice cream person stopped and is browsing the garbage sale. Why do they need to leave the truck running and the music playing? Isn't there an off button somewhere??

LOL. Garbage sale....yeah I've seen a LOT of those lately.
Guess he was really trying to attract people. Maybe he needed money for the garbage?

Wanna hear something funny and terribly stupid. My husband downloaded that dumb music and played it on his laptop. My daughter got so excited, she was running around looking for money, yelling at me asking if she could get ice cream. And if that wasn't bad enough, he put it on his Zune and would roll down his window and play it real loud when he would drive down our street. Poor kids, we don't even have an ice cream man in our neighborhood. We live in the country.

That is so funny.
On another note, on the 20th of June we went to KC to watch the Royals play the Cardinals. When we were in the motel parking lot, I heard the music from the ice cream truck and got excited about where was the ice cream man!! I couldn't believe that I had such childhood memories from visiting relatives and enjoying the ice cream like that! lol

lmao, that's funny. I'll send our ice cream man to your neighborhood. He comes down our street like 3 times a day now that school is out. Oh, and we have 3 different ice cream people who come down the street (so a grand total of 6 times between the 3 of them). A white truck, a blue truck, and a hoop-di kinda car that I'm not sure if it even really carries ice cream.

See if there's a phone number on the side of the truck and call that or else flag the truck down and ask the driver to turn down the volume.
It worked in my neighborhood. He did turn down the volume a little but not as much as I hoped.
We have the trucks that play music and then say "hello" real loud. Totally obnoxious.

A few years ago I was out visiting my brother in California and was there alone, DH and brother had gone somewhere. I heard this music coming down the street and simply could not figure out what in the heck is going on. I had never seen or heard an ice cream truck before. So after that, every day that I was there and would hear it, I would run out and watch it. Never got anything because I did not know how to go about doing it. Finally told my brother about it and duh, all you do is grab money and run out and they stop and you get ice cream. All we have here is Schwans without the music. Don't know if I could handle that on an everyday basis but I sure enjoyed it for the short time I was there.

we get those annoying ice cream trucks around here a lot as well. I'm pretty sure ours comes year round, just not as much in the winter... annoying!
