I got stung by a flipping bee!
I should first point out that anything that bites or stings I try my hardest to stay far far away from. I will help the occasional bee out of our pool, but I usually put it on the bushes and leave the area before it starts flying.
So today we are driving down the road and I feel something on my fingers and then like a prick. I look down to see a bee is on my hand! At this point I'm screaming and flailing my hands and arms all over the place. I try to roll down the window to flick it out, but it ends up coming back in and falls on the floor. By this time Luke has pulled over and I have flung my seatbelt off and am outside of the vehicle still dancing around. The bee then exits and has now landed on me, so I proceed to dance around some more until it falls to the ground and I stomp it to death. I cannot even recall the last time I was stung and cannot believe it happened.. I mean WTF was the bee doing in the car anyways? Needless to say it hurt My finger is puffy, but thankfully I'm not allergic to stings. When I got back in the car Luke made the comment that good thing we didn't get into an accident.. yeah I like planned for a bee to sting me And of course he didn't even see it, so he prob thought I was some nut job (no comments needed TYVM ) I do have the stinger tho and the swelling on my finger to prove I'm not.If you don't want dumb answers, don't ask dumb questions

I am terrified of bees. I am a nut when I have to kill one, lol, will use a gallon of some kinda spray, and nope, doesnt even have to be bug spray, just anything will do, to knock it to the floor so I can then kill it. I am not allegic to them either, but I wish they would leave my area alone, lol, go next door and visit those ppl.

I'm the same way Shann. I have been stung several times in a car so I never have windows down anymore. I have come very close to accidents because when a bee comes in he is my main concern..lol Sorry you have an owie.
Be who you are and say what you feel, those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

That reminds me of a time when I was with a friend and we were driving back from picking up McD's for us and the kids. She was holding a drink carrier with 4 drinks in it and I was driving, it was a nice summer day so the windows were done...all of a sudden she screams and flings the drinks, which caused me to swerve and drive like a maniac until I could pull over. Then she hopped out of the car and kinda did what Shann did. I was like WTF? and she's like there was a bee in the car. She's lucky I didn't cause an accident. I can laugh about it now lol

I'm glad I'm not alone in that category. The weird thing is that we didn't have the windows down til we went to Sonic so I'm wondering if the bee floated on in when we got our slushies or if it had been chillin in the car for awhile. At any rate there are no bees in there now and my finger is better. Altho when I took a shower the water made it sting a little. I still cannot believe this happened it's seriously been over 20 years at least since I was last stung
Thank you everyone for the hugs and repliesIf you don't want dumb answers, don't ask dumb questions
