They knew their products had salmonella.
I know this should probably be in news but thought more would read it if it was here.
Check out this site

It is things like this that really make me so very mad.

You think that is bad? I was working at Target last week and an employee told me that they new about the problem a month before it was released to the public?
How many more lives could have been saved if the government had let people know a month ago.

If I was the people affected, especially the families of the ones that died. I'd sue their butts. I hope they do maybe then next time they wont be so stupid. They must not care about their customers at all to do that.

The sad truth is nobody cares anymore. They look out for themselves and for nobody else.

This has wrong all over it... I see tons of lawsuits in their future... and the plant closing. More jobs lost etc... And the wheels go 'round and 'round.

Sad, but so true.

Ya know, I can't even imagine losing someone I love over something so damn dumb, that totally could have been prevented. I would be livid !!

Q: What kinds of companies did PCA sell to?
A: Companies — including snack and cereal giant Kellogg — that make foods, especially snacks, that contain peanuts, including granola and energy bars, crackers, cookies, ice cream, prepackaged celery and apples with peanut butter, chicken with peanut sauce and many kinds of candy.
that is so frightening. I have always felt that our nation's food supply was safe, and safeguards taken to pretty much prevent this sort of thing. there may be times when salmonella is found(such as in the spinach) but to be so negligent as to know the facts, and still put it out there.
they said that the only peanut butter that was affected was that which was sold in large tubs to institutions...such as what? SCHOOLS, NURSING HOMES, etc...two of the largest populations of our society that are susceptible to not being able to fight off illness. this is truly pathetic.
if the brains of theplace had only once thought that by just simply stopping the supply, they would be better off in the long run from not having to deal w/lawsuits, or a full shut down of their plant.
greed. all about greed. or pure not giving a darn. most likely, a bit of both.
good article.

Maybe if they do like China and execute the ones responsible it would clean it up.

even if they do, they can't get much (if any) money from a bankrupted or FDA closed company.
and even if they weren't bankrupted or closed, the years of litigation it would take are phenominal.
2 days from now, tomorrow will be yesterday.
