    Co-worker

The company I work for has laid off so many people that we now have to cross-train probably to see who can be laid off next.
I'm training a very senior person to cover for me during breaks, lunch, etc.
Today he asks when and where I'm going on vacation and then proceeds to tell about his vacation plans, the yearly cruise. I'm the only one working in my family now and I don' make much to begin with and believe me everyone there knows that. How freakin insensitive can a person be? I haven' t been on a real vacation in years. My last vacation at work was taking off a couple of days to have wisdom teeth pulled and I'm still trying to pay that off.
I just want to scream and scream and SCREAM!

I always enjoy hearing about where folks are going on vacation that I work with, and also enjoy seeing their pictures when they return. Sometimes I've learned the neatest things about parts of the world I've never been to. It can give us the opportunity to live vicariously through others.

Yes, I enjoy hearing about other's vacations and living vicariously through others but at this point in my life I just want to have a job, a place to live and pay my bills. I am worried about losing my job.
I would have ripped his throat out with my hands if he had told me about the steak or roast he had for supper.

Its hard to live vicariously through others what that is all you GET. I know what you mean. I got a friend who never lets her tank get below half, eats out when she wants.. got new carpet and didnt even look at the price.. well her DH hit a dry spell and she started whining about the $1200 a week in bills they have.
My DH and I tried warning them about having too much credit out, etc. Meanwhile , they are going further behind, and we are slowly moving up.. well not up, but better than they are now.

And not to be mean, but I do think its kind of funny.Thats what they get for braggin
If ya ain't careful, this flea will bite your arse!

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that after all this he asked me who I report to and I know darn well that he knows. I kind of get touchy about things like that and took it as a threat. So now not only can he harp about things I do he doesn't like but he can also tell my boss.
It just wasn't a good day. I got to work on time today despite the snow and ice.
I don't have the option of making up hours like this person who came in 2 hours late. The roads are so bad that we didn't even get mail.
