I killed Charley-it was an accident (not sad)
Ok, Charley was this great big Charley Bank (can't say piggy cause he wasn't a piggy bank) Charley was about 16 or 18 inches tall, ceramic, and looked like a big hairy brown monster with a big smile and huge teeth. He was so very ugly that he was cute. Anyhow, I have a friend who loves to play jokes and goes to garage sales just to look for "off the wall stuff". Anyhow she found Charley and had him for quite some time, so for a joke she gave it to Pete for his birthday, well on her birthday Pete wrapped it in a beautiful box and gave it back to her. One day my friend and I are talking and she asks me if I knew who's birthday was next so she could pass Charley on--I told her mine was, she said- no it wasn't-so I told her I loved Charley. Ok, she gives me Charley. I had him for about 10 years. All the change I would get I would throw into Charley. The other day, I had to move Charley and grabbed him by the head--it was horrible, even awful, but his head snapped off. I was so mad at myself. I collected all the change and DH rolled it up and there was 18 pounds of change inside Charley's big fat belly. I just feel so bad. I kept him by the footstool (modem? tower?) anyhow the thing for the computer that is on the floor and now I look over and there is NO Charley. So I say--Goodbye Charley, I will miss you.

Goodbye Charlie. RIP you will be missed.
Ode to Charlie:
Goodbye... Charlie
Cashin' in your chips
Wild-eyed Charlie
Time you came to grips
And, there ain't... no doubt...
Strike three... you're out...
Goodbye... Charlie
Goodbye!

I put Charley in the trash can in the house but then got to thinking--maybe I could pull him out and use him for a flower planter on the deck this summer because he did have this hole in the bottom where you could get the change out from. Well, I reached in the trash can for him and part of shoulder came off, then I really looked and there were hairline cracks all down his body.
Yes, your right - Charley is resting in pieces.
I loved "The Ode to Charley.
(darn I really miss him, whenever I come on the computer, I look over and No Charley) "Heavy Sigh"
