    It's official

    I am still NOT dying.

Why am I whining about it you ask?

Fibromyalgia sucks.. I mean yeah I am grateful I am not dying. What really sucks is all the dxs saying there is NOTHING wrong when I feel like shiz. I mean i think I'd feel better if there was something wrong instead of having people look at you and say "you don't look sick" or have people doubt that I am in pain or just saying I'm in pain to get pain meds (which I rarely use) or think I am just plain batshiz.

*middle finger* to you jerks and doctors that think fibro is fake. It's not fun..

I'm sorry that you're hurting. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to have fibromyalgia.

    I am sorry
I have to admit though, I used to get mad as hell at my bff when she would skip out on plans because of pain, she did tell me she had fibromyalgia but it was such a new thing it seemed like, to me, it was a term dr's gave ppl with chronic "unknown" pain to just subside them. I have since totally changed my mind!!!!!!!! I feel so badly for people who have this as I know it is indeed a very real and very painful condition which alot of people (myself included in the past) don't understand or choose to roll their eyes at.

I hope you start feeling better hun ((hugs))

when we dont understand things or pains that others are going through,we roll our eyes or we think people are faking to get attention,my sister has Fibromyalgia, and i for one never discount when she says she is in pain-this is a horrible thing to have to go through. prayers that you are feeling much better soon.

My aunt has it and a good friend of mine has it. They both started taking Lyrica and it has worked wonders for them. They both said they are pain free most of the time. Have you tried that yet?

I am sorry you are going through this as well.

Could I ask how fibromyalgia is diagnosed? I've had moderate to severe pain in my upper left quadrant for 2 1/2 years that doctors have yet to find a diagnosis for (I've gotten, "It is possibly costocondritis" to "It's all in your head"), and I've had too many test to care any more. I'm learning to live with it.

Does your pain worsen if you lift anything moderately heavy?

I'm sorry you're in pain, Elle. I hope it starts lifting and feel better soon. I do understand completely about looking fine on the outside. I have had people say that to me one to many times. {{{HUGS******

Hey ElleGee, I have a friend with it and so know first hand how painful it is. I wish I could do something for my friend but there is nothing I can do except just be there and be a friend and most of all understand.

I cannot imagine what you and others go through. I read all of your posts and feel so bad. I hope they find a cause and a cure or at least some relief soon, being in pain for no real reason pretty much every day is no way to live your life.
