I'm A Dem. I Am So Sorry They Booed President Bush(i Feel He Did His Best) I Wish Obama Luck,we Have Alot To Fix As A Nation, and We Cannot Just Blame Bush. We As A Nation Have To Blame A Little Of Everything Going On,on Each And Every One Of Us- If We Wanted Change,we Should Have Fixed It,by Voting New. And We Did! Not Everyone Is Gonna Agree With Obama Either-but What Is Going On With Our Nation Dates Back To Probally Before Roosevelt.it Just Wasnt As Open As It Is Now! Jmoo

With the way the voting system is set up, there is no "change". we might change presidents, but its always the same-- rich get richer, funding gets cut even more on education, social security, prices go up. Its always the same. I hate the electoral vote. My vote DOES NOT count. My state will always be red, Calif and New York will always be blue. Nothing changes.. but then again thats JMHO

We've always been a "United America." When a disaster happens or someone needs a helping hand. People stick out their hands to help one another. It's the great thing about our country. We as civilians, do not turn out backs on one another.
Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.

Without the electoral college people in those less populated states would have very little say as the highly populated states do (mostly blue) Bush wouldn't have become president in 2000 having lost the popular vote. People need a say regardless of where they live.
It does have it's merits if you live in a state that isn't highly populated. Change it to popular vote and you can plan on a Democrat for a good portion of the time. The areas that are considered liberal would hold all of the cards. I am pretty liberal and if the voting changed this country would be run by liberals. That's not the way it should be. Everyone needs a voice.

I hate the two party system. There are third party candidates that would do a fantastic job, yet they rarely get a voice because the media just wants to hear from the Democrats & Republicans.

I just dont see what the big deal is about Obama. If we are supposed to over look a person's skin color, then why is everyone making such a big deal about Obama being black?? Seems like the media is the one constantly talking about his skin color. To me, he is just a man, and a politician, just like the 43 presidents before him.

Sometimes the Media doesn't even want to listen to both parties

I for one am very happy that Obama won! I feel that he is exactly what this country needs, and I wish him all the success! Watching History (his inuaguration) was amazing!
That however is my opinion.
