Glad you went and got checked out. You don't want to mess around with pneumonia. Hope you start feeling better soon and make sure you take all your medicine.

I'm feeling better...
Well, I'm still home. Am going to try to go to work tomorrow. When I get in a serious coughing fit (and those are a little more infrequent now, but still just as hard), I'm still covering my bases and wearing a pad.
My throat feels better, and the laryngitus is starting to go away. I'm even up to eating solid food at least once a day!
I was prescribed Avelox for the pnemonia (1 tablet once a day for 7 days), and promethazine tablets to help with the cough (1 tablet four times daily as needed for cough).
Still coughing up gunk, but I think it's getting better.
Good luck with your check-up with the doctor!

Meds
Well, I posted what my prescription is in case you end up having what I do. It's about 11:00pm now (I had about a 5 hour nap! yeah!), and am going back to bed now to hopefully get a sound 6 hours in.
The icky cough up gunk is no longer green, so that is a very good thing, it means the pneumonia is breaking up! Took Nightquil, and it's almost ready to kick in so good time to go to bed. My sinuses don't appear to be draining as hard as they were last week, so , I hope that means I'm drawing to end with this stuff!
After a good nights rest and a in the morning, I think I will be ok. Need to really be over this completely since I'm working the musical "CATS" next week, and absolutely cannot be sick when doing that!

Avelox is exactly what I was prescribed, the md said it was a very strong antibiodic that worked on respiratory things. You should be feeling much better.
I'm a Baha'i,ask me why.
