not sure if I 'm going to post anymore freebies it ends up being more annoying then fun

The search engine isn't the best, but I searched for 'books' and it came up and it also came up when I searched for the website name.
It works the same for everyone.

I think it's shi*ty to get an infraction for a repost on a freebie. I haven't, but others have. The search isn't great and that should be taken into consideration. JMO

But if it comes up when I search, it would have came when anyone searched. And no one has gotten infraction for just making a repost. We delete them at 1st, if it continues, we start locking them and leaving a msg. If that doesn't work, THEN we give infractions.
When I searched for 'books' in the freebie section pages of posts came up, I had to look thru them to find the OP. If anyone does the same search all the same posts will come up. Sometimes 8 out 10 posts by a person are reposts but they come up just fine on a search. Or they'll start their post with "I hope this isn't a repost'. Well if they had searched, they would know if it was or not.

Sometimes it helps if you actually do a search on the LINK that you want to post.

Yes that does help sometimes. Pages of posts came up searching for 'books', and I after I looked thru and found the OP, I thought to search the website name and it came up that way also.

What I dont like is the limit. Like if you wanted to post something for Oil of Olay you cant search any of those words. Yes I know you can put the * but that doesnt always bring it up atleast not for me. Never did understand that.
But BBS has been around quite awhile and survived ALOT of changes and Im just glad its here and we dont have to pay or anything. The search drives me nuts but I can deal with it as long as BBS stays here

It's pretty stupid to delete or lock peoples freebie posts. Reposing isn't hurting anyone, it will only drive people away. I would suggest finding a site where people don't cry about reposts... I don't see putting forth any work to do a search so people can get something for free. People should be grateful others are making it simple for them to acquire freebies without any effort. To whine about repost's is funny as hell to me. I wish I was so luck to have not a worry in the world other than whining about reposts.
Giving people infractions for repost's..Bawhahaha This is a freebie site online not day care, school or the old folks home to be disciplined.
Don't worry about what people think. They don't do it very often.
