Help me! I still am on the fence and I want to go vote now!!
So, all along, I have wanted to vote for McCain and now I am totally not sure of my decision.
Help me. Tell me the number one reason you are voting for either candidate. TIA!!!

the number one reason i am voting for mccain is because he has experience and i'd never even heard of obama before last november. if i were going to pick a heart surgeon, i would want one who has had experience, not just graduated from medical school last year.
There is always someone bigger and badder than you!

I just got back from voting and I voted for Obama....wasnt a huge fan of either but this country needs change....McCain is no different then Bush, therefor there will be NO change...Obama is all for the middle class hard working americans, not just for the rich getting richer and so on and so forth.
I am 35 and this is my very first time voting, so not all into politics...I know there is at least half if not more on this board who are totally against obama but I did my research and I dont want to get flamed for who I voted for lol

You may save Obama's life if you vote for McCain. If Obama gets elected I truly believe that the KKK or other extremist group will intervene.

I will be going to vote later this morning and I will be voting for Obama. I for one do not want another 8 years of Bush policies and McCain has been a huge supporter of Bush in the past eight years. The other thing is I want is someone with a calm demeanor to be running our great country and after watching both the candidates I have to say that Senator Obama is the one on an even keel. He's extremely intelligent and will work for the middle class American.

Obama will NOT work for the working class!
If he gives everyone a $500 "rebate" and the cost of EVERYTHING goes up, which it will!! People are WORSE off financially then they were before!
HE supports cap and trade, which will FORCE the cost of ALL utilities to rise!!!
He wants to abuse the people who actually grow the economy! Giving people who dont pay taxes a little extra money will NEVER create even one job. When businesses pay exorbitant taxes they are forced to raise the cost of goods and/or employ less workers. The cost of EVERYTHING will end up going up. This is basic economics people!
Obama is IMO a borderline evil man. He supports abortion and gun control, but has shown a tendency towards softness against gang members and other criminals. HE thinks that our daughters should be allowed to go across state lines for abortions if they are not legal where they live with NO parental notification! Our schools can't teach the kids, but it is ok to have counselors take our kids out of state during school hours for abortions?
Bottom line?
Go to ontheissues.org there you can actually SEE what your proposed candidate believes from quotes and his or her voting record.
Remember "Change" isn't always good.
Besides that, why is everyone convinced that things are so bad?
The surge is working. The economy IS bad, but we are NO where near a depression!!!
In my small town that lost crap loads of jobs from GM, we still seem to be able to afford every damn restaurant in the world.
In the last 2 years we have had a Burger King and a Taco Bell build completely new stores and leave the old ones sitting.
We have built a new steak house (Montana Mikes?) when we already had a Poderosa, Lonestar and Texas Road House. We have a brand new Little Caesars when we had 2 go out of business YEARS ago. We are getting 2 new Dunkin Donuts when one went out of business years ago.
IF you still find a way to buy everything you actually need and MOST of what you want; how bad is it really?
American's have become soft, greedy and weak.
All someone has to do is come along and promise that things are going to be better financially nad people start licking his boots.
This guy is the most liberal leftist candidate we have EVER considered for the white house.
So much for "Ask not what your country can do for you" eh?

McCain has "flip-flopped" more than any other candidate in my opinion, including every idea that Obama has made thats been popular, given a couple of days to weeks, suddenly McCain has the same idea.
If you're really worried about Obama being "taken out" and ending up with #2 as President, thats no reason to vote for McCain seeings how thats just as likely.
But the biggest thing, think back to everything you've heard about Obama, even on this website. Now try and remember just a few of those that havent been proven false out-right.
McCain=Bush.

My son said the same thing...
I am not going to help sway your vote either way.. If you are seriously that on the fence and don't know then I wouldn't pick anyone since neither seemed to impress you enough to decide on your own..
