I know I am for McCain for several reasons, I dont agree with all that he has to offer or say but Obama scares me too. I know we have freedom of religion, but he wont put his hand on the BIBLE, his wife was proud for the first time of the US when Obama ran for president. He wont put his hand on his heart for the national anthem. His aunt now we hear is illegal in the US. I dont feel he is for the US and he has bad connections from th past. JMO

Also, another thing for me is the foreign policy.
Obama is actually concerned with our image with other countries, the damage Bush has done to it. I dont want someone who jokes and sings about bombing other countries.

I have quickly read thru all the posts. ANd I am DEF. for McCain. Obama has NO experience. You have him and Biden that ARE both senators. With Mc you get a Senator and A govenor. Which to me is a plus. They offer better qualities to the job. He knows more about foriegn policies etc and she has had to over see cities/states etc.
And people saying Mc is ANOTHER Bush is BS in my book. That is what Obama has beat into their heads. Also Bush did not lead this country into a recession alone. If you look over the past few years congress (Now democrats, which Obama is) has helped BIG time. They play a part of 50% OR More of the problems. So if the economy is BAD you have to help blame democrats. Which Obama is.
That is my 2 cents worth. I hope you can make a easy choice on what you like.

What exactly is the "change" he is going to do. I know we need a lot of change but Obama never really said what change he would do.

I will be voting for Obama as well. I don't see where McCain has said too much about what all he will change. He has done nothing but vote 90% of the time with Bush so we will have another Bush in office and we can't afford to have it another 4 years.

I already voted for Obama last week. The "change" is that we will not have a continuation of the Bush administration and conservative policies. McCain voted along Bush lines 90% of the time. And talk about flip-flop, McCain only tried to distance himself from Bush when it became obvious that the association was one of the major roadblocks to his campaign.
I agree that Obama is inexperienced, but Joe Biden is NOT!!! I will take his MANY years of experience over Palens few years as governor anyday. (Plus...I don't like her politics..but that's just me.)
We have had other inexperienced presidents as well. Some did poorly (Carter is a good example. His ability to handle foreign policy was not one of his strong points.) We have also had some strong presidents who had limited experience. John Kennedy comes to mind. He was a congressman then a senator. While he had more years than Obama in office, he still was never a governor. But...he also had great advisors around him and I think that is key!
And, finally...vote for McCain to save Obama's life? Are you kidding me? Those kind of scare tactics show desperation on the part of the opposition.
But...if you feel McCain is the better candidate and one who has policies that you can support...then absolutely...cast your vote for McCain!
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

I am actually surprised this conversation hasnt gotten ugly. This is great everyone is voicing their opinion and someone is not bashing it. Hopefully I am not jinxing this.

Did you mean it 'hasn't' gotten ugly. Because, I think it is a fairly civil discussion.
