We dont have credit cards so I dont have to worry about that. but i dont see how in this economy the credit card companies think that people will actually pay those extra high rates.Soon the CC companies will be needing a " bailout"

Glad someone bumped this!
I just got my Citi card bill, which I am never late on & always pay double the minimum & nearly have it paid off, They raised my interest rate 7.5% ~ I called & told them I could easily balance transfer them away & they'd lose me as a customer, or lower my rate.... She looked thru my record, gave me an even better rate than I had before + increased my credit limit, when I told her about our trip to SouthAmerica in 9 weeks, she made sure there would be no issues with me using the card down there & is sending me a form so I can put my photo on my card, which is great in case it gets stolen down there.
It pays to complain, don't take no crap from the banks, they need you more than you need them., as long as your making the minimum payments. Just don't EVER be late on ANY card / bill / note.

Did anyone see on the news that Obama made people pay for drinks, even soft drinks, at the inagurational ball, EVEN SOFT drinks. He rent no chairs so everyone was sitting on the ground.
