I totally agree with the OP and those of us that are already struggling it just makes it harder on them.

May no mistake kids this is a huge mess, and it is NOT over yet, just watch, I swear the "bottom has not fallen out, yet"..the market will correct itself, but NOT anywhere soon..Merry Christmas, because this is going to be a year of "off sales, poor buying power and trust, and more"..It is not over.
Trust me on this one.
At last....my love has come around..

I have stockpiles that already rival a 7-11... I think we are set pretty good...we have extra bedrooms...anyone wanna come over??
For a change -- the stock market might be in the tank, but gasoline was $2.42 today!!!
I never thought we would ever get back below $2.50!!
2 days from now, tomorrow will be yesterday.

The last time oil prices were his low gas was $2.10/gallon. I'm not going to get excited about $2.90/gallon because we're still getting screwed by $0.80/gallon. Exxon will post record profits again and everyone else will be posting losses. I absolutely agree with Catdance, this isn't over.

Some people on the news have mentioned the possibility of financial terrorism and some say that many people are afraid of what Obama will do to the economy if he gets in.
Since Obama's objective is socialism it is possible he wants a total and complete meltdown of our financial and economic system.

I agree with others that we have not hit bottom yet.
I think we have a little ways to go before that happens.
I still think $2.40 a gallon is on the high side -- it wasn't even 5 years ago when I complained that gas went over $2.00 a gallon!
but anything beats what we were paying a month ago: $4.05 a gallon!
2 days from now, tomorrow will be yesterday.

Gas here is still 3.67 a gallon. It was already shooting up when Katrina hit. It was 2.20 a gallon then, and hasn't been under 3$ a gallon since.
