Feel So Bad ....
I was driving home tonite, and two kitties ran in front of my car and I hit one. I put my brakes on, but I still hit it and it's dead
.. I feel horrible! .. I have never hit an animal and have been driving for 25 years! Poor kitty
Oh and I meant to type FEEL so bad, not Fell!They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Distance and time may separate us but friendship and memories won't.

I had that happen with some puppies once. I hit one of them even though I slammed on the brakes, I felt so bad.

We have 3 cats and when I came home and seen them I felt even worse! .. What makes it worse cause I know if they were someone cats they will be looking for them tomorrow

Oh Misty, that's awful !! I'm so sorry !!
You are not alone, I know just how you feel !
DH and I were on our way to a week long vacation in a mountain retreat, maybe 10 years ago, I was driving... we were just happy as larks, music playing and singing etc... almost there (maybe 10 mile to go), in a sharp turn, and a kitty ran out in front of me ! I heard it hit under the car... DH didn't want me to see, but, he had me stop so he could make sure it was dead... saying that if it were suffering, he would have to 'put it out of it's misery'. I started crying instantly ! DH did too after he came back to the car and said... "it's gone... it's dead, but, it didn't suffer".
Accidents happen... rough as that is... there was another cat nearby, it appeared they had been chasing each other... OH GAWD ! I'm getting teary eyed thinking about it now !!!

The only thing I have hit was a rat so it wasn't too bad. Was actually shocked to see it in the area I lived in.

I'm sorry to for how you're feeling. But I believe if there was any way possible you would have avoided it. It really was an accident and you didn't mean to hit it.

(((Misty))) I am so sorry that happened to you. You did everything you could to try not to hit it. Sometimes there is just nothing that we can do to stop an accident from happening.
