well, I just called yesterday, we have kerosene furnace in our house and it is $4.69.9 a gallon!!!! NOW in July!!!! It will be over $700 for the measley 150 gallon minimum they can bring.
I swear, it's just getting worse and worse.

I do a pre-buy contract with our propane co. which they offer from april to July 1st of each year with what they say will be locked in at the lowest price at that time. I signed the contract on the 1st of July at a price of $2.34, and bought 1200 gal. Should be a little more than enough for the year, but we can roll over any excess to next year. We will prob. use even less this year, as dh is working out of state more right now and i am more frugal with utilities than he is.

Its going to cost me about 1500-2000 bucks this winter. When will this ever break????
between REG. gas, groc. and now LP its getting tough to make it each month i swear!!

We just got informed that heating gas is increasing 20% this year, our electricity just increased 10%, and minimum wage aint going up

Well, on that note, I posted in here before saying I knew my budget would go up..it did, it was $132,it's now $142 a month.
Yes it was $2.879 a gallon i was shocked at the total. This will last us hopefully into January. We use propane for heat, hot water and all our cooking so it runs a good bit come winter.

When we moved in here three yrs. ago the house was set up for propane, we got on the budget plan it was $250 a mo. all yr. long.......In Feb. of that year, I went in to pay the bill and they said "oops, we under estamated you, you owe us an additional 1,000" we told them to come and get the tank apply it to the bill, and we switched to wood, it's work, thankfully we have a fireplace to run the exhaust pipe out of, it's work cutting, spitting, keeping it fired and having to come and check and load it,and "sweeping" the exhaust pipe so it doesn't gather creasote, but it's way cheaper than what they wanted to heat this house.....they were wanting @3- 4 hundred something a mo. for 12 mos. it worked out to about 4 thousand a yr. and that didn't seem right.

I am total electric. My Mom has oil & she just got her budget plan bill. It went from $150 a month to $350 a month. YIKES!
