a skunk ate our kittens :(
We were gone over Memorial Day and our Momma Cat has always been an outside cat. She had kittens about 3 weeks ago and they were already playing on the back porch. When we came home the back deck was covered in Mammas fur
and she looked and smelled awful. The kittens are no where to be found and I know the skunks ate them. 
I feel so bad for her...she just acts lost and she fought so hard you can tell.
I will never leave kittens out again but heck we have had litters before and never had a problem.Be who you are and say what you feel, those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

: that is just horrid that poor mama kitty, unless you really want more kitties maybe it's time to spay her so you don't have to worry about this. oh how sad, what an awful site to have to see

They do....along with kittens, birds, mice etc. When I was a kid, we had a skunk try to kill a litter of puppies in the barn while the mother was out. Originally Posted by magenta

I'm s0 sorry, I am a cat person, and thinking of those poor babies just hurts me.
It's raining here today and I keep thinking about thoe kitties in my backyard, I hope they are staying dry. My carport is open on the end so they can come in out of the rain. They probably won't because they are not familiar enough with us yet.

Ugh....so sorry about the momma and babies--and skunks can carry rabies, too.
