Momma is doing a little better. Every time I try to pet her though her hair falls out in chunks, its just awful. I may take her to the vet to be checked even though she is a barn kitty. I would love to brush her but I think she needs to heal first plus she probably hurts because she was used to nursing too.

She had 4 kittens for whoever asked but 1 died right after birth so she was nursing 3 that disappeared.

By the way we have a lot of skunks around here, they get in my hen house and try to get my eggs all the time but they can't climb so thats a relief. They only come out at night or at least dusk.

We had a stray that had kittens in our shed & we went to check on them one day. Something had gotten in the shed & killed 3 of them. Not only killed them but bit their heads off/decapitated them. It was the most horrible thing we had ever seen.

    THEY ARE ALIVE!!!!!!

I couldn't believe it but Mamma kitty kept going into a heavily vegetated "island" of sorts in our yard, its full of bamboo which is not easy to get thru but I followed her and found the babies! They are all fine!!!

She must have fought them off and then moved them to what she thinks is a safe spot. Oh I am so happy.

2 of our cats just had kittens within just a couple weeks apart. We had a skunk here last night and it got the first litter of kittens I was wondering about it today when I saw the mother walking around aimlessly just meowing. This was her first litter and she was always with them. DH found what was left of the dead kittens today after work. This just hurts me so bad. We live in town and still have skunks. Tonight we are keeping the other mother cat and her kittens inside the garage.

I am so happy for you, momma and babies! That's wonderful news.
I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
