Thread: a week's worths of vents LOL

Okay i started a new job and as a few of you know i have chronic neck and shoulder pain. Well it seems to get worse instead of better. this new job is totally making it worse!! PLus this place i started at is a hotel that is only 3 years old. Its a really nice place, sits on the side of a lake. Beautiful rooms if they were kept clean. I have had to show them how to scrub the tubs properply.
ANd its so disorganized>UGH!!! I work in the housekeeping. I have many years exp. I was an asst at the last place i quit 3 yrs ago. this place has no head of housekeeping. Its crazy.
my 2nd vent is our weather its been so cold here i can't get my house about 60 degrees. NO KIDDING. we have all shade around our house. till sat. Well it was 88 deg. and humid. Well we paid for it. We had a massive storm come thru about 10pm with 80+ wind speeds. I thought it was tornado. It came out of nowhere. Stuff was falling off our walls. Trees limbs were hitting our trees we thought we heard windows breaking. We have no basement and i'm freaking out because we have to go to our inlaws next door (they have the basement) but if its a tornado its already here. And its dangerous to go out with all this stuff flying around. We grab our dogs anyway and head over. 3 mins later its done. our yard looks like a tornado went thru. but we find out its just the high vilocity wind. But we have a transformer that only feeds our 2 houses back here and its glowing over in the lot next door. (GREAT) all of the suddon i hear a loud boom. And we drive over to look and there are sparks trying to catch the trees on fire where the wire is down. Thank go the trees are wet where its at. So we have no power.
We are without power till noon the next day. (yesterdaY)
And luckily its a holiday and my dh only works the morning (he works at a marina and has to work) so we spend the WHOLE afternoon cleaning up our yard. Some day off. I had planned on getting my house clean, camper clean to go camping this weekend. And relax today. NO such luck. Today it 60 degrees out and raining.
I forgot to add how bad the ticks are. we have had alot on our dogs. EVEN with frontline. they go to their head tho.
last night i was laying in the lazy boy i had put on the pag. pants i had on early in the morning, i had worn outside earlier (briefly) in the day. Anyway i could feel something crawling fast up my leg. and sure enough it was a dang tick!!!
Anyone want to trade weeks!!!!!????!!!

Yikes. We had a storm similar to that a few weeks ago. And ticks give me the heebie-jeebies! Blech! Hope your week gets better.

thanks guys. Spent the day doing so housework and trying to catch up here at home. But boy it seems like its been alot of bad stuff these days, LOL.

that sounds awful I'm so glad you and your family was safe I see in some other areas they were not so lucky. have I mentioned I don't miss living in Iowa? no fleas no ticks, no tornadoes out here
