I thought that I remembered that about Aggie. Believe me...lots of people forget my birthday...LOL! My mother (who has passed away) and my husband always remember. My kids do to. But, my DIL is actually better than my son in remembering my birthday. She makes it a point of having my present be something different and wrapped in birthday paper. She is such a sweetie. My son would probably say "Merry Christmas/Happy Birthday" and think that was enough.

There is no other way to put it. Aggie is being a butthead and there is no excuse for his behavior! You have every right to be upset and hurt!
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

Happy Belated Birthday, glad you went out to eat and at least got a good meal. My ex always forgot ALL special occasions except his mom's

Sorry your day was spoiled. I made my family never celebrate mine again. Just because I'm old, and can do without the reminder. lol
That is a good idea. Aggie's birthday is Christmas Eve......lol. Yes, it really is. Always gets seperate gifts for birthdays, Christmas. As for my age. I'll still tell it. If I didn't/won't Aggie or my mother would while she was still with us.

    45 if you're curious.......truly

Yep, one year I took myself to the salon and got; a massage, facial, manicure/pedicure, hair cut and color and my stylist got me a candle! It cost a bunch but I was happy. Hubby is getting better bit by bit as I tell him what I want. This year I want my car detailed and since we can't afford to have it done, he will do it himself. Anymore I don't mind asking him for whatever I want. And he doesn't mind either!

Let's face it girls, men just do not get it. We have to spoon feed it to them.

I have no problem reminding my hubby of my birthday. I even ask what are we going to do on my birthday? Sometimes you just have to ask if you want to receive.

Aggie asked me and I told him what I wanted for my birthday at the beginning of May. Plus birthdays are highlighted on the kitchen calandar......Yesterday I went and got my own gift and YES HE PAID FOR THIS. I had a charcoal portrait of my mother, brother and myself that was done way back in the 80's. Never framed. Since my mother's death I wanted to keep it preserved....brother certainly didn't want it. Cost Aggie a small fortune with the frame, matting, glass that I chose.

I'm hoping next year he'll not "think it's just another day"....if he does more expensive the gift to myself will be.....lol

Still shaking my head.....

I know this is a little off the subject, but where do you find those little flags?

My daughter's birthday was the 26th and her husband did the same as yours. The thing I don't understand is why when his birthday comes she will go all out for him, card, cake, present, us there if she can etc. and hers come along and he doesn't even say Happy Birthday. One year I sent him an email to remind him just in case he forgot but it was no different.
