my grandma died
this really sucks, two people in a little over a month She's had alzheimer's for years though and she hasn't remembered anyone for about as long. I guess she wasn't eating and the family was given a heads up that she probably wouldn't make it through the weekend. Nonetheless it's still really sad. For some reason my dad's side of the family hasn't been close so I never did get that close to her, plus when I was growing up she was living in another state. Unfortunately I'm not going back, but w/ that side of the family it would probably be nothing but drama and I just don't care to see that right now. I'm really glad she's not suffering anymore, not remembering anyone/anything is not a way to live and now she's with her husband. *sigh* these are the times I hate living so far away... did I mention this really sucks?

I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. I know she's in a better place and not suffering.

I am praying for you and yours. I understand how you feel, my family is not close either and it hurts.
I do feel very blessed that I have met wonderful people that I consider "family by choice". I met Idavern and we have been talking and I consider her more famly than my own real family. Sometimes sisters is much more than blood.
