    It's a holiday weekend.
    Gas always rises then.
I'm so tired of this. I drive to work and the grocery store. That's it. Been doing that since Katrina when they said it was just a temporary thing until the refineries got on line again.
Now I'm getting ready to go the grocery store. I'm sure that'll put me in a holiday mood. I wonder if you can grill ramen noodles?

Less than 2 hours ago I paid $3.82 a gallon to fill up my car. Came to over $50.00. I'm used to $20.00 filling my car up for at least 10 days......

What just galls me to no end is the tax incentive we're getting is going to Chevron, like they don't have enough money as it is. We ran our gas card up pretty high while my husband wasn't working. But at least it'll pay it almost off. But with these prices it'll get high again real fast.

I am not a Bush supporter, but it is not only him- how many in Congress do you think hold stock in the oil companies? I bet if they didn't the gas would never have gotten this high. I think it is time we try and do something about it- maybe even consider a boycott for a few days. It is getting so high that we on a fixed senior citizen income will soon have to stop buying it. It is coming quickly when we will have to decide between a tank of gas and eating for two weeks.

Yes, It does always rise during major holiday driving seasons. But never have I seen it jump $0.30 in 48 hours!! Plus when the holiday is over it starts to go back down in price. I don't see this going down only up,up,up! And the gas companies profits as well.....

Also today I seen on Chevron charging $4.09 for reg unleaded and acrossed the street a 711 was only at $3.79...Thats when you KNOW they are doing it to make a profit!

Okay I have to say this....I work at a gas station and I am very close to the owners the reason that gas is one price at one station and different across the street. Is because the one charging you the lesser price is selling you old gas.Shocked don't be if a gas station recieved a shipment of fuel and then the price goes up they can either sell what the have at the lesser price or risk getting big fine for gouging but you best believe the next shipment the price will go up.I am not defending gas prices because they suck. Please don't take it out on the people who sell the fuel to you I get it all day long it is not my fault it is so high.
Really?Thats probably not the smartest thing you have done today...HUH?

I worked at one also, back in the day when it was under a buck, I remember changing our tags to .79 (We'll never see those days again). At that time we would call the competators, and would lower our cigs. and gas to reflect their prices or put it under a tad. We loved it when a new employee came in, the other companies wouldn't know their voice.

I put a lot of blame on the oil man in the White House, congress, senators, but don't forget OPEC. Putting sanctions on OPEC might help but why would they do that when they're getting kick backs, profits, etc? We're scr*wed untill we get someone in office that does not want to line their pockets off the blood, sweat, and tears of the American people. The odds of that happening is zelch.

I live in a rural community, LITERALLY nothing is within walking distance. Gas is $4 a gallon here, and groceries have gone up $0.29 to $0.50 an item, the average being $0.30. I don't know what we are going to do
