All right now I know I'm not letting him read this, I did the mom thing and chewed him out, I can hear it now "See mom I did little bottle rockets they launched M-80's"

He had the nerve to tell me "Mom I know you and dad did things in school."
Well yes chris we did but we made sure that there wasn't anyone around that would rat us out.

Hetty it sounds good except it'll be a fight to get him to do manual labor, he always expects something in return....pay, going somewhere, getting an energy drink....I love having a 14 yr. old.....

oh yeah mine do that too...anything they do they think they should get some form of reward. I was like uh I don't think so, when you can start keeping your room clean and grades up without being hounded then maybe we will consider it......but I don't see that happening any time soon. My 5 y/o son is picking up on his brothers behaviors very quickly....I hope I can nip it in the bud so he doesn't get too bad!

It sounds like the same kids chris gets pretty good grades, he's on the basketball team so he has to or be benched. Jake is very smart the counselers at school tested him and he did great but his grades don't reflect it and we tried him on strattera but it caused mood swings, we're going to try the new "patch" they have hopefully then there might be some peace....doubt it but I can hope, as for logan there is so solution for her "acting" skills. Oh and Jakes has picked up on Chris's attitude some also and it drives me nuts!

    Love your avatar! LOL

We did M-80s in the toilets in school, no bus for us Never got caught, good thing, my mom would have turned me over to my gramma and that would have been scary!

Mine expect paid too. They can't just do something nice for someone without expecting to get some benefit, preferably money. If they get money they blow it on junk and then come ask us to buy them something.

Sounds like you are doing a good job raising your boys. I agree you have to tell them what you expect from them & that they can't get away with excuses!
