Glasses
Last year I got glasses at Pearle Vision. It took them 3 eye exams to get glasses I could see out of. I had to pay in full, $400 and I have insurance, before they would make the glasses and it took at least two weeks to make each pair of lenses. I had paid in full for glasses that took 2 months to get. I also got an extended warranty.
Less than a year later my glasses were so scratched I took them in for replacement under the warranty. That was in December. They kept telling me that the warranty didn't apply, that they couldn't find any record of me having purchased a warranty, yadda yadda. Finally 2 weeks ago I found the receipt for the warranty and took it in. Yesterday my new lenses were ready. They put them in my frames and I drove home. Luckily it was close to home and I know what a stop sign looks like without being able to read it and that the speed limit was 30 not 80. I called them and told them to take my old lenses out the trash and today went in to get those. They said the lenses were exactly the same as the old ones. I said told them they were close but not the same. I've been wearing glasses for 45 years and have never had problems like this.
Anyway, the moral of this long story is DO NOT go to Pearle Vision!
Any suggestions out there for less expensive glasses?

I would NOT go to Sear's optical either, they are just as bad as what your saying.....I do like Len's crafters, they are a bit more in price but they treat you better and do better business.

Dollar tree=$1.00 a pair.
I bought my glasses from the eye doctor. They sell them right their in his office. They always mess them up. I don't think you can get good quality anything anymore. Sorry!

I stay AWAY from corporate owner type of EyeCare Stores, like Pearl & VisionWorks, Sears, etc.
I suggest going local., do you have VSP insurance? Most vision insurance is VSP, anyway.. just check their website & find a local doctor with just an office somewhere. They usually will haev a staff with low turn around & customer service that cares.
Or come to Nashville., I love my Eye Doctor.. HES THE BEST!

I have no insurance and I get mine at JC Penneys. They run great 2 pair deals. And never had a problem.

Wow I have been using Sears for years without a problem. I guess it is the individual locations because the one here does a really good job and usually has good deals going on.

That is where my eye Dr. suggested for reading glasses. He said they are the same exact thing as what they can make you for about $ 100.00 more per pair.

Yeah, but that doesnt help when your eyes are 2 different strengths, lol, unless you buy 2 of the exact same style with different strengths and swap out the lens on one side to make the perfect pair.
