When my stepdaughter goes on and on and on about religious, it generally means she is off her meds and needs to be put in the hospital...maybe its something you should consider.
Seriously, you give Christians a bad name and if you want to call me names and doubt my Christianity, then honey I say have it, I have been called worse by alot better I can assure you. So you just continue on as you have been, turning fence riders against God and I will just sit here pretending to be a Christian. And yes I love Broke Back Mountain, I not only gave my money to rent it, I also purchased a copy just for me. Sure hope I don't burn in hell because I can't hate everyone.
This was posted by YankeMary right after I called her the dreaded S word. Likely before she has even read my post, since she doesnt address it.

    1. She says that she doesnt think much of me! I lost some sleep over that

    2. She implies that I might need to be on MEDS.

3.Then she says that I give Christians a bad name.

4.She says I have been called worse by alot better? She only knows me from this forum and thinks she knows me?

    5. Then she implies that I hate everyone?

And if you go back and read the beginings of this thread you can see I didnt get mean, they did.
What you don't point out is that the ones that Jesus reprimanded harshly were the religious leaders, with the sinners, he showed compassion. He NEVER condoned the sin, but always showed love for the sinner. He took the ones that the world rejected (usually), and they were his followers. Not all followed because they were true believers either - but just because they wanted what they could get.
I AM a christian and I don't believe that abortion should be used as a form of birth control, but on the same hand, I do believe that there are times when it is necessary. My heart bleeds for the mothers who have to make such a difficult decision. I had to do that with our 3rd child - he had no brain and was dying in my womb. That was one of the hardest things I EVER had to do, and would not wish that on anyone. My DH was at my side through the entire ordeal (they had to induce labor because I was so far along). I had nurses at my bedside crying & praying along with my DH & me. I was in a christian run hosp (Salvation Army owned) that did not perform elective abortions.
While I always felt that in the case of a medical emergency, rape or incest, this was a difficult choice, but it should BE a CHOICE, it never hit me just how hard it was until I actually had to go through it.
Please do not judge all women who have abortions, know that many need compassion and love to see them through - even the ones who get them for other personal reasons.
I have been reading this thread for what seems like weeks now, and have been hesitant to post, but feel that if abortion is going to be discussed, it should involve sensible, compassionate, resonable voices - not condemnation, anger & ridicule.

KAtt responded to this post and thought it was funny because it reminded her of clerks2?

But am I not being called names and run down here? I guess it doesnt matter because I didnt cry to the MODS? Or because the Mod here just seems to agree with the ones who dont like me?

Now don't forget to go and quote where I apologized for my behavior...oh wait, I guess that wouldn't work in your favor now would it? I know who I am, my God knows who I am...whatelse matters? I never said I was perfect, I don't rip through BBS thumping the Bible, shoving it down peoples throats and picking apart their religion because it is different then mine and I don't pretend to be something I am not. I am human, I make mistakes, I SIN, but best of all, I AM FORGIVEN, Jesus died for me so that I can have everlasting life. Enough said.

Your words have wisdom, but please read the first few pages of this thread. I started getting attacked EARLY on. WHen I responded as I am sometimes wont to do as a person who NEVER backs down from a confrontation, most EVERYONE here turned against me.

Bless you heart. I am sorry for you and your DH, I can't imagine and I truly feel for you as I am sure that was the hardest thing you will ever have to do. Thanks for having the courage to share. God Bless and Hugs.

The real issue isnt whether you apologized (which you only did for calling me a freaK) but how you treated me. Many people on this thread INSIST that I have been hateful, arrogant etc. When many of you have been EXACTLY the same towards me. And in some instances BEFORE I ever got upset.
