Another Pit Bull Attack.

My sister's neighbor raises pit bulls. The dogs are 10 ft from her patio on the other side of a 4 ft chain link fence. She is now afraid to take her grandchildren , age 4 and 1 , into the back yard. This neighbor just moved in about 6 months ago. Just for safety she tried to befriend the dog by going to the fence and it just bared it's teeth and growled at her. They no longer can sit on their patio. One dog is pregnant. One dog is on a chain and she said the owner is afraid of it himself and that it is covered with fleas and once went without water 3 days. I told her to report it to the animal control and lie if she had to. She can't enjoy her own back yard.

Lots of stupid people own dogs.
I walk my dog twice a day on a leash and I am tired of people who own BIG dogs that let them run loose. And I live in an urban area. Of course if the owners are outside they smile and say something stupid like he wouldn't hurt a fly. You'd think they'd at least rrealize that they're dog might just once decide to chase a squirrel or something and get hit by a car let alone go after me and my scrappy little dog.
Recently had a a pit bull come after us. The guy was walking the dog, the dog had a leash but was dragging it. The leash wasn't attached to the owner. Luckily we jumped into a fenced yard. Another time we had a boxer/pit mix come after us. The owner came out when he heard me hollering and said that he had forgotten to close the fence.
