Thread: My computer keeps freezing!!

I go to OLS and enter contests and sweepstakes every day. And every day I have a fit over my computer! Certain websites have popups and some of them freeze my computer screen. I have dial-up and have about had it! We really can't afford anything other than dial-up. I'm not even sure if it is my internet connection or something else. I've entered contests from Woman's Day magazine for ages, but lately the popups from that site (among many others) just freezes me up Any ideas of what I can do to stop this without spending money we really don't have?
