BE AWARE OF THESE BOOKS : "Conversations with God"

    BE AWARE OF THESE BOOKS!!!!!

If you have children or grand-children or you have neighbor children whose parents you know, please take note of the info below or pass it along to others. Schools are a distribution point to children for this book through the Scholastic Book Club. Beware of the book, Conversations with God . Dr. James Dobson talked about this book twice this week. It is devastating and parents and Christian schools need to be aware of this. Do pass it on to church/e-mail addressees, Parents, Grand parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends.

Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV and in movie theaters and the music they listen to, but we must also be alert regarding the books they read. Two particular books, Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D. Walsch , sound harmless enough by their titles alone. These books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for a number of weeks, and these publications make truth of the statement, "Don't judge a book by its cover/title."

The author purports to answer various questions from kids using the "voice of God". However, the "answers" that he gives are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of God.

For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question "Why am I a lesbian?" His answer is that she was born that way because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with blue eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and "celebrate" her differences.

Another girls poses the question "I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?"
His reply is, "Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong."

Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin. His reply "I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is "'judge not lest ye be judged.'"

And the list goes on. Not only are these books the false doctrine of devils, but in some instances even quote (in error) the Word of God. These books (and others like it) are being sold to school children (The Scholastic Book Club) , and we need to be aware of what is being fed to our children.

Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure to worldly mediums, because our adversary, the Devil, roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). And how many of us know that lions usually hunt for the slowest, and weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.

Pass this on to every Believer you know. God bless!

And, if in doubt, look at the books yourself.

( Part of the problem I see with this being sold thru Scholastic Book Club aas opposed to a bookstore is that in a B&M you can pick up the books and review it for yourself. Scholastic Book Club uses a flyer with a ten word desription to base your choices.

Now, I am going on a campout with the Scouts, won't be back until tommorow at the ealiest - if it rains - maybe Sunday. Play nice while I am gone. )
Laissez les bon temps rouler! Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.** a 4 day work week & sex slaves ~ I say Tyt for PRESIDENT! Not to be taken internally, literally or seriously ....Suki ebaynni IS THAT BETTER ?

The only problem I see is the conflict of church and state. The books themselves would be better placed in the public library than in public school.

    THE WORLD PREMIERE OF A
DIFFERENT KIND OF MOVIE, MADE A DIFFERENT WAY

SANTA FE, NM-Avid fans of Stephen Simon, Neale Donald Walsch and James Twyman have been swamping the phone lines at the Santa Fe Film Festival in search of tickets to the December 5, 2003, World Premiere of INDIGO, a new movie produced and directed by Stephen Simon. The first showing of the film (in a five hundred seat venue) sold out in less than four hours, a first for the four-year-old festival, and the second screening sold out the next day. Clay Peres, Program Director for the Festival, states, "The intensity of interest in INDIGO is unprecedented." Numerous filmgoers were so intent on getting a ticket that they purchased a $25 film festival membership in order to get an early opportunity to also purchase a film premiere ticket and people are gathering for the INDIGO launch in Santa Fe from all over the United States.

INDIGO, Simon's directorial debut, was shot on a $500,000 budget and financed through thousands of small contributions from people around the world. The film is co-written by James Twyman, who also served as the film's Executive Producer, and Neale Donald Walsch, who also stars in the film.

Simon (www.movingmessagesmedia.com), a Hollywood Executive and Producer for almost three decades, produced such films as "What Dreams May Come" and "Somewhere in Time," wrote the recently published "The Force is With You: Mystical Movie Messages That Inspire Our Lives," and has become the leading spokesperson for the recognition of a genre he calls Spiritual Cinema (as distinguished from Religious Cinema). "Spiritual Cinema asks two eternal questions: who are we and why are here?" states Simon. "Films such as "It's A Wonderful Life", "The Matrix" series, "Field of Dreams" and "Ghost" illuminate the landscape of our evolution as a humanity and stir us to remember who we can be when we reach beyond the seen into a realm where we engage the magical aspects of our human potential".

Neale Donald Walsch (www.cwg.org) is the best-selling author of the "Conversations with God" series of books (which have sold over nine million copies worldwide), including the most recent book in the series: "The New Revelations." He has also worked as a performer, director, and technician on over 100 stage plays, and has acted on television. Walsch co-wrote the script and plays the lead role in INDIGO. "

Singer/songwriter James Twyman (www.jamestwyman.com), author of "Emissary of Love-The Psychic Children Speak," "Messages from Thomas: Raising Psychic Children," and the just-published "The Proposing Tree," co-wrote the INDIGO script and is also executive producer on the film.

One of the many remarkable things about this independent movie is that it was conceived, written, produced and will premiere, all within an eight month span. Typically movies take two to eight years from conception to screen. "Everything just magically fell into place when we needed it to. We also had 25 full time volunteers, unheard of in this business, who were all so committed to the film that they stayed till it was done," said Twyman.

INDIGO is a film about loneliness, redemption, and the healing powers and grace of the new generation of Indigo (psychic and gifted) children being born into the world. Three fateful choices result in bankruptcy, jail, and the disintegration of a family and then lead to a chance for redemption five years later through the healing and psychic powers of the family's youngest member-- a ten-year-old "Indigo" child. INDIGO is about taking responsibility for the choices we make and the thin line that separates success from failure and love from regret.

The film follows the relationship that develops between Ray, played by Neale Donald Walsch, a man whose life and family have dissolved due to a fateful mistake, and his 10 year-old granddaughter Grace, played by Meghan McCandless, with whom Ray goes on the run to protect her from a would-be kidnapper. Along the way, he discovers the power of his granddaughter's gifts, which forever alter the lives of everyone she encounters.

Authors Lee Carroll and Jan Tober, internationally known experts on Indigo Children ("The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived," Hay House, 1999), describe these children as "Children who display a new and unusual set of psychological attributes." Research has found that the Indigo Child is not just an American phenomenon. Indigo Children seem to go far beyond cultural barriers, and can be found all around the world. Many schools throughout the world such as the Waldorf, Montessori and Rainbow Kids Integral School (founded in September, 2002 in the Miramar area of San Diego, California) are now developing curriculum to cater towards the special gifts of these Indigo Children.

Re: BE AWARE OF THESE BOOKS : "Conversations with God"

I’m sure extremely conservative Christians would have a major heart attack reading them but I know many mainstream Christians that love the books and I sincerely doubt anyone could read them and not come away a better human being. In fact, his first book was given to me by a Catholic priest who thinks it’s wonderful. They don’t question the bible so much as people’s interpretations of it. He encourages NOTHING evil, immoral or harmful to the world, quite the opposite. He encourages goodness for goodness’s sake not goodness that is fear based.

His choice of getting his point of view across may rile fundamentalists but to most people he portrays God as a truly loving God. If there is evil it’s in Dobson’s own mind. He could have titled it “A Conversation with Self” and it would have been classified a self-help book, which is what it is essentially, but it wouldn’t have caused a controversy and sold so many.

If you don’t want your children to read them – tell them and explain why. It’s really very simple. But for children who have troubled lives or no exposure to any belief, the books might help lead them to a belief in goodness they wouldn’t have otherwise and consequently to lead better lives.

The Plan and the Process -- and Everything in Between

God is not going to forgive me. I've got to get that into my head.

As I sit down with myself and review all the things that I have done in my life that have hurt -- often deeply hurt -- others, I have got to reconcile myself to the fact that God is never, ever going to forgive me.

God has told me so. Directly.

"Don't come to me for forgiveness," God has said. "You won't find it here. I'm not going to forgive you ever, for anything."

God carefully and lovingly explained to me that the reason that God will never offer me forgiveness is that forgiveness is not possible in the Kingdom of Heaven. And that is because, in order for forgiveness to be possible, hurt or damage must be possible. Alas, such is utterly impossible in the experience of the Divine.

God cannot ever be "wronged." God cannot ever be "damaged" or "upset" or "angry" or emotionally discombobulated. (Did I spell that right? Would God be forgiving if I didn't...? Would Sister Mary Margaret?)

There is no way to disrupt God's peace or disturb God's serenity or destroy God's tranquility. This is because God is God and not Herman Schwartz. Or Susan Grousenberger. Or Bob Smith. God is not made in the image and likeness of us. We are made in the image and likeness of God. The only thing is, we don't know it. We don't believe it. And so we don't act like it.

We think we can be damaged, and so, therefore, we think we need to forgive -- and to seek forgiveness from others. Neither is true. None of it is true. We cannot be damaged in any way. We can imagine that we are being damaged, but that is all in our imagination. We cannot actually be damaged. So to avoid the experience of damage, the trick is to use our imagination in another way.

The soul of us is impervious to damage, because the soul of us knows the Truth of itself. The soul IS the Truth, and knows it. The soul knows that it is the Local Re-presentation of Divinity. It is the Local Out-picturing of the Universal Essence that we call God. Or Allah. Or Yahweh. Or Brahmin. Or Father, Ishvara, Tao, Svarog, Bog-Otetz, Jehovah, Adibuddha, or whatever name feels good to us in any particular moment or location.

The soul is clear about this and it is using every moment of our lifetime to get this message across to our body and our mind. It does this by drawing to us the exact and perfect people, places, and events with which to fashion the experiences that bring us to the understandings that it seeks to impart.

The purpose of all this is growth. Awareness. Consciousness. Expansion. Evolution.

When I see this I realize that for God to forgive me God would have to become less than God is -- and would have to see me as less than I am. This is something that God cannot do. It is literally impossible for God-in-Total to know Itself as other than what God-in-Total is.

It is not impossible for us, however.

God-in-Part, or what the Conversations with God material calls the Individuation of Divinity that I am, can indeed imagine itself to be other than what God-in-Total is. And so we see that nothing -- absolutely nothing -- is impossible for God. It is merely a matter of what process God uses to achieve the results that God desires.

If God desires to experience the result called Knowing Itself Again and the bliss of reuniting with Itself, God can create Itself as little, tiny Individuations that are capable of thinking of themselves as separate from that which created them, and other than that which gave them birth, and thus, not God at all.

In this way God can have the experience of reuniting with Itself, and know the bliss of that moment once more. Indeed, over and over again throughout all eternity. This is called the Cycle of Life. At any given point in the Illusion Called Time, a Part of God is experiencing the Bliss of Union with God-in-Total. That is, an Individuation is becoming the Essence. At that same point in Time/No Time, an element of the Essence is becoming an Individuation. Put another way, God is continually birthing and re-birthing itself. The Essence is constantly recreating Itself anew, in the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever It had about Who and What God Is.

This process is ongoing and never ending. It is cyclical and circular and forever and ever, amen.

Re: BE AWARE OF THESE BOOKS : "Conversations with God"

    In the authors own words:

Part of The Process requires that the Individuated Elements of the Essence fall into what we shall call temporary amnesia. It is a little like falling asleep. This is the Divine Device by which God made it possible for the teeny, tiny Parts of Itself to forget Itself -- so that It might Know Itself Again.

There is a part of Life that is always "dying" and a part of Life that is always birthing. Dying and birthing, birthing and dying is going on all the time. Nothing is actually dying, and nothing is actually birthing in the sense that anything is ceasing to be or coming into being. Everything that ever was, is now, and ever will be, Is Now. That Which IS NOW is simply continuously changing form, the Energy and the Essence moving from one modality of expression, from one vibrational level, to another. Each transition from one State of Being (Physicality or Spirituality) to another is called, in human terms, a birth or a death. Each manifestation in the Realm of Physicality is called an "identity." The truth is, you have one One Identity and that Identity remains with you through all eternity and defines Who You Are.

I am an Individuation of the Divine that is not remembering all this (until I am). God-in-Total has no need to honor me or forgive me when I act in any particular way, because God-in-Total knows Who I Really Am and that I am above Reward and Punishment paradigms. God-in-Total knows that That Which It Is cannot be hurt or damaged in any way, and also knows that God-in-Part cannot be hurt or damaged in any way, either -- and so, Reward and Punishment are out of the question. I, too, know this the moment I remember Who I Really Am. Forgiveness is therefore not necessary, only Remembrance. Actually, what most people call "forgiveness" IS simply the act of remembering. The words are virtually interchangeable. Instead of saying, "I forgive you," one could just as well say, "I remember you," and convey the same meaning and produce the same emotional outcome. It is the same thing.

God does not forgive us because God has never forgotten us. God remembers us always and therefore has no need to ever forgive us. God knows that we cannot hurt God, nor can we ever hurt any Part of God. We can imagine that we are hurting a Part of God, but that is merely an imaging, designed to bring us a particular experience, and in those moments of forgetting we have no idea of what we are doing. ("Father, forgive (remember) them. They know not what they do.")

Always use the word "forgive" and "remember" interchangeably and everything will become clear to you. Fail to use them interchangeable and confusion visits the moment. When I said earlier "God will never forgive us," I was using the term as humans normally use it. This produced confusion, yet confusion always leads to understanding, which is the purpose of confusion. Now that is a new thought and I want you to explore it deeply. "Confusion" is simply another word for a Process in which many thoughts come together all at once and very suddently, in order to bring a total picture of what is so. This fusion of many thoughts and images and ideas and awarenesses in a single moment creates a fullness of mind that embraces all data present, in the present moment, allowing us to sort out the data at last, rather than considering the data one piece at a time, as we usually do when we take forever to figure something out.

Confusion is the decision not to take forever. It is the calling into mind of all that is held in the mind from past data-collecting, adding it to what is being gathered in the present moment, and mixing it with what is known in the soul from Forever. This is a holy process, a sacred mixing. It is a "mixed blessing." Never, therefore, berate your state of confusion, but be grateful for it, for it is from this coming together, this fusion, of all the data you need to consider on a particular topic that clarity arises.

Your life may seem, in moments of confusion, as if it is falling apart, when what is really happening is that it is falling together for the first time.

Again, to repeat and to make it very clear: God does not and cannot offer me forgiveness for my sins because God knows Who I Really Am and knows who everyone else Really Is, and does not see or experience damage anywhere, and knows the perfection of the Process called Life Itself. If I yearn for forgiveness, it is only Remembering for which I yearn. If I yearn for forgiveness, it is because I have forgotten Who I Really Am. I have forgotten the identity, as well, of the person I imagine myself to have damaged. I have fallen so far down the rabbit hole, walked so long in Wonderland, that, like the Mad Hatter, I now believe that what is so is not so, and that what is not so is so.

If I still desire forgiveness, I have only to forgive myself. I have only to remember my Self, remember my True Identity as a Part of God, as an Individuation of Divinity, and look not at what I did that was so "bad," but at what I have done in my life that has been very "good" indeed. And then notice that I have been using all of it -- all of it-- to remind myself of Who I Really Am. In the hashing and rehashing of my transgressions I have only to ask, "What is it that I was trying to show myself there? What new decision do I now wish to make about Who I Really Am?

When I remember this, I forgive (remember) myself, and in that moment I can forgive (remember) all others who have done me "damage" in my life. In that moment of total remembering and total forgiveness Divinity is reborn, in me, as me, and -- through me -- in the lives of others.

Thus, the whole world is healed of its illusion, and we have become One again.

I forgive myself now for all the bitter tears and deep pain that I have caused in others. I see that I have used my life, and they have used theirs -- and we have used our lives together -- as magnificent tools in the remembering of who we really are and the creation of who we now choose to be. Only through the forgetting could the remembering be possible. Only through the pains of life can its joys be known. Yet one part of this process does not have to be as extended as the other. The length of pain does not have to equal the time of joy. A moment, a tiny fraction of its experiencing, can open us to an eternity of its opposite. And so I vision now, for myself and for all the world, a time of Joy. Joy to the world! The Lord has come!

The Lord, of course, is the Lord Within, the God Divine who is in me always. When I have come back to myself, I have brought Joy with me for all in my world. I have remembered Who I Really Am and I no longer need to repeat or continue unwanted behaviors, nor revisit those moments of forgetting, nor recreate that pain, in myself or others, in order to continue to experience the Joy of Life.

The joy outweighs the pain, and outlasts it, in the heart of the forgiving. In the heart of one who remembers, the joy goes on forever, and even forevermore. And then we do good and wonderful things on the earth.

"Do this in remembrance of me," said one who came to remind us of Who We Are.

And I shall try. And the bitter tears at my own failings will be washed away through the baptism of my remembering. I live in the poetry of my highest dreams for humanity, and I invite you to join me there. Let us forgive each other for everything. Let us remember each other always. Let us live in the experience of Divinity, which experience we can always have and always are.
