Thread: The Grinch stoled my kids christmas

Sorry to vent but I need to get it out somewhere.

I belong to several boards where we trade items for other items we need or want. Well Nov. 10th I did a trade with a girl that I have traded with several times in the past. I have known this girl for over a year online not in person. Well Anyways I right away sent my items to her and then she kept telling me that her order didnt come in. Then finally it came in. And she told me what items she had of mine and alot didnt come in but I ended up oweing her a few dollars which Payed by paypal.

Well that was over 3 weeks ago. She claimed my package was 13 lbs and that was the last I heard from her for awhile. I then on Monday wrote her a email and finally on Tuesday she wrote that she sent the package out last week. Well She is in Penn. And I am in NY so the package if mailed last week should have been here. But no package.

She wont answer emails, instant messages, or phone calls (when I called the number I had for her someone tells me it isnt her phone number but it is in the data base on all the boards?)

My husband is on Social Secerity and I dont work due to taking care of him. My kids are all older and dont believe in Santa but this makes me so mad. These items were going to be my kids christmas. This trade was almost $200. We cant afford alot due to not getting much money. So I traded for them all having to spend my money to get the items she wanted. Thinking I was going to get the items she was sending to put under the tree.

Hubby and I arent gifting each other and Now I guess we arent gifting the kids. We dont get another check till way after Christmas. And we are flat broke. With no way to go out and replace the gifts. And I dont know what to do.

I feel like Someone came in and stoled my Christmas spirt.

Thanks, what paypal I have made I have had to use to pay ebay fees and ship out packages that I had to ship out. I think I have $1.23 left in paypal.

I understand sometimes you just need to get it out to feel better. What I meant though is can you file a complaint against her through paypal or perhaps post about this on one of those other boards....maybe guilt her into doing the right thing? I Mean she's taking away kids' Christmas. Thats just not right

I have filed with paypal it is $5.63 I paid her. I am sure I will get it back. But it will be what ever time paypal takes to get it back to us. Which is fine. I posted on the board her and I traded on. But the post were not released due to her owning the board. This was not a regular board it was a trade board on yahoo. I fuguire I will wait Till Wed. Next week then I will look into postal fraud and what not.

I sat everyone down tonight and told them what has happened. And That we will have to make it up to everyone after the holidays when we get our check. Just got to do what you got to do.

No she isnt a member on any of the boards she is a member of a yahoo trade group I belong too. Thanks for caring Their is nothing anyone can do

PS So everyone knows I am venting not asking anyone for a handout. I know some ppl probley think I am but my kids are old enough to understand. I am not asking for anything but maybe a idea or just a hi.

You need to contact that list where the lady keeps up with this kind of stuff. Sounds like this woman definitely needs added to it. Was it garnettes or something like that? Maybe someone will know.
