    Everywhere I go lately....

I get really crappy customer service.

My garbage pickup company always forgets to come pick up my recycling. I am the only house that has a driveway on my street so my garbage & recycling is out front instaed of the alley because I have no access to the alley.

They remember to get the garbage but not the recyclables. Every week i have to call and complain.

I have also vented about the terrible service from champs sports.

I went to KFC last night to pick up some dinner. I order the same thing we always order: 12 peice meal with breast substitutions for the thighs( which I always happily pay more for)

So I order and the DT guy says "we can't do that" with a rude tone to his voice like I was bothering him. I asked why and told him that we always get that and had been there 2 weeks ago and ordered that..and that I have no problem paying extra.

Instaed of answering my question a female voice comes and and says" we told you no!"

Well lets just say they didn't get my money last night.

So I go over to taco bell. I am the only person at the counter and I stand there waiting for like 10 mins before the cackling hens in the back broke up their chat fest and came to take my order.

I placed my order and I had 1 of them item made specially ...2 taco kids meal with no meat or lettuce in the tacos.( my son wont eat them otherwise)

I get home and start handing out food. Well they paid no attention to my order because the tacos were wrong and I was missing an item.

Son is mad and wont eat...I call taco bell to complain 10 times and no one answers the phone.

I drive down there with my receipt and messed up kids meal...I ask for my money back for the kids meal seeing as how I had to find something else for him to eat because his sisters were eating and it wasn't my fault they messed it up. So they give me my missing item and $ for the kids meal.

I realize after I leave that they only gave me $3.99 the price of the kids meal but what about the .25 tax I paid for it? I know its only .25 but still....

On a bright note...There was an old homeless man standing outside panhandling ..he asked me for some change to get something to eat..I gave him a couple bucks hoping he would buy something to eat. And while I was in Taco Bell he did come in and order food.

Then on my way out after getting my order fixed I saw this old homeless lady who has been around the streets here since I was a teenager. I wasn't all that hungry so I asked her if she was hungry and she said yes..so I gave her my food.

Oh yeah and I also placed an order at a website called toys 2 wish 4 on 11/26 and I still have not heard if my item has shipped or not I have emailed them 2xs with no response. I paid with paypal.

Is it the holidays or do people just not care if they give you crappy service?
I have always felt that if I am paying for it I should get it the way I want and the right way or you should fix it or give me back my money.

    Thanks for letting me vent

I am with you completely. Customer service is NOT What it used to be. Infact, if I could, I would just stop shopping completely!

People must have forgotton the golden rule of do unto others. Basic common kindness has gone down the drain.

Sorry its been rough.... thats exactly why I do NOT work in CS, I would end up getting fired LOL

I have dealt with bad CS and I just smile and wish them a good day... there are some that I will even tell them that I hope their day gets better

Im sorry you had bad service.

But it does go both ways sometimes. I work at a supermarket deli & some of the customers are so rude no matter how nice you are to them especially this time of year. We work our butts off but, get crap when people complain about how long it takes when its the store who will not give the hours to have enough people working.

Iam always nice, polite & very quick(I have customers who actually wait til Im at the deli to come get what they want & many who say wow your so fast.) I always say thank you & have a nice day/holiday. But the store doesnt care.
Some Customers are extremly rude & will make rude comments while talking to others while waiting.

No matter how nice you are you cant please some people who are just determined to make everyone miserable.

Yes basic kindness has gone down the drain but shoppers need to remember that it means the world to most people in cutomer service positions if you are nice to us.

I know they say the customer is always right but it gives nobody the excuse to be an assh%&# to someone just because they can.

Iam a customer service worker & customer so I know how it goes.

Iam done now...LOL! Just wanted to give an opinion of someone who works in CS.

You are right it does go both ways. I used to work in cust service and fast food so I know how rude people can be to you sometimes just because you work there.

I always remember to say please and thank you. I have never been rude. Espically at a place that is going to be making my food..I dont like extra additives..like spit for instance.

My hubby & I have both worked in food service & appreciate when we get great service & always give at least 20% when the service is good.

Unfortunately customer service has really gone out the door. The best advice I can really give is to complain when you get bad cs and the next step is to refuse to shop or purchase products from those places. I have not ate at Subway in years over a cs incident and will not be back to them ever. I know I'm only one, but it's the best I can do and when I recieve service I don't like or feel is uncalled for I can only take my business elsewhere and tell others of the horrendous service I've experienced.

Call the cooperate office! Complain on planetfeedback.com.

That's exactly why I don't hire young people at my store. They act like the world owes them a living. I only hire people over the age of 40 to work for me. They have better work ethics, and they also know how to be courteous to my customers. I would chit and fall back in it if one of my employees was rude to a customer. The way I see it, if it wasn't for my customers I wouldn't have a business. So my employees better insure that they keep coming. That's what I pay them for. No excuse for rude employees.

    Re: Everywhere I go lately....

I worked at a returns desk in a retail store. I have had car batteries, blenders, clothes and many other items thrown at me. I have been asked by both men and women to take it out side so that it can be settled. I am truly jaded when it comes to what people will do. I have filed assualt charges against customers when they have done this stuff (to no end really). If you get someone who is nice it is awsome, but I have been yelled at by a whole line of people for simply doing my job. I follow the rules, if your nice and understanding I try to work around the rules. If people are mean, and nasty I stick to the rules and call a manager. I left the returns desk after the car battery was thrown at (yes by a male) me but even being a cashier you get as many mean people who yell at you when there cc, check, debit cards are declined and it is only worse during the Holidays. I love my nice customers and go out of my way to help, I always smile say hello, thanks, happy holiday, thanks for shopping at our store, its really bad when you say that and people cuss you out. By Christmas I have no christmas spirit because I see all the people without it. But I am doing better this year and will try to hold on after all it is only about 40 more days until this is all over.

That's so frustrating! Almost as frustrating as when you're involved in one of the exchanges on one of the forums and your partner sends you a box of nasty used crap that has to be thrown in the trash. And then, once called out a billion times, the your partner finally agrees to make things right, but then never really does. And then she shows up on the forums again acting all sweet and hoping everyone will forget. Things like that suck, too.

Yep. ITA. and would like to add as I deal with patient families...if it weren't for the kids I would retire from patient care because of the families of the patients. Many, many are very ungreatful and do/say things in spite. I bend over backwards for many and still get treated like chit. Especially when I've done everything right and they turn you in something that I didn't even do let alone would any other co-worker do. Some just get off on making waves. Conditions and circumstances aside there is STILL NO EXCUSE for the way they act. But, life goes on expecially when you actually get one person to say Thank You.
