Re: USbank rant! They keep taking me for my money!
I hate USBank and I have never gotten any satisifaction out of the local branch or corp. so I wish you good luck.
I had problems with another bank once. Direct deposit got there on Thursday pm so yes I know it would be deposited on the following day I assumed at opening of business on Friday (yep assuming was the wrong thing to do lol) They would put checks that I wrote coming in on Friday BEFORE putting the deposit through before it was all over it cost about 900 in fees...when I called them on it they told me that I might not like it but it was within the legal limits of what they were allowed to do......I told them that they might be legal (had no idea) but it sure was immoral and unethical and I closed the account after several more choice nasty words to them. I am not the only person that they did this to either
Mom I miss you already

US Bank will waive overdraft fees IF YOU NEVER HAVE HAD FEES WAIVED BEFORE. I assume you have had fees waived in the past ? Did you speak with the branch manager ? Only they have the authority to waive fees. Good Luck!

Taking things out that way is to assure more transactions clear your account thus resulting in less overdrafts. Doesn't sound like that happened, find out why and demand something be done if that is the case. I worked at a bank for several years and I suggest you go into your branch office and ask to see a print out of how things cleared your account. Good luck!
Almost all banks clear the larger items first. It is a very common practice that is highly debated. See this article: http://www.usatoday.com/money/indust...ank-usat_x.htm

Re: USbank rant! They keep taking me for my money!
my credit union used to do that, i had to print out what it showed online as my available balance and take it too them. half the time it didn't show a negative balance till they took out their fee THEN bounced the check, made them reimburse me

what a mess.. I'm not surprised though something similar happened to my friend and she never got her money back. I'd be livid I don't work hard for my money for MY bank to steal it out from underneath. Good luck on your claim, I agree contact your attorney general and the BBB and your local news station, I'm sure they will change their song and dance...

There are tons of websites out there with horror stories about this bank. I would suggest you file a complaint with the US Department of Treasury. See this website OCC: Consumer Complaints and Assistance for assistance.

Re: USbank rant! They keep taking me for my money!
I closed my account with them awhile ago after problem after problem and the last straw was when they lost my checks and wouldn't give me any money till they found them yet I had deposit slip showing the checks being put in my account!
They added all kinds of fees to my account for another mix up and I just when in there and I think I owed them $129.xx and I gave them $75 and told them to take it or leave it and to close my account because of all the drama they took the deal and closed my account!
