Best time of day to go vote? (smallest line)

Any election officials around? I now have the luxury to go to vote at any time (I get the day off without pay, but still it is one of my few rare weekdays off as I get no paid vacation at all), so I am wondering if there is a good time to go when it tends to be less crowded.

As I have most always been working in the past, I do not want to go when most working people have to go - early morning or after 5pm. Last year I went about 9:30am (first time I had it off) and still waited in line for over 2.5 hours. The previous presidential election I went right from work, got there at about 5:30 pm and got out after 9:30pm, as the line was so long, and I was starving as I had missed lunch too and then dinner that day. now I know to take a book, food and drink with me.

They really have to improve the voting process here. In my city, you cannot absentee vote unless you certify you will be out of state or disabled. They need to open up the restrictions and increase voting time, maybe 2 days or more.

I totally understand why only 40% of eligible voters in the US go to vote.
