    Lee's Chicken--Where's the Chicken?

Went to Lee's Chicken yesterday and ordered the 3 piece special and couldn't believe how little chicken was served. I swear they must have served me a Pigmy chicken it was so small. Like the chicken breast I got wasn't bigger than a normal sized thigh.

The mashed potatoes and gravy was literally only two small bites. And the slaw was so runny it was more liquid than cabbage.

Are you talking about the Lee's Chicken on Ann Arbor Rd. in Plymouth? I went there last week and it was great. I asked for one of the 3 pc dinners with all white meat and they gave me 3 whopping breasts! I thought they would give 2 breasts and a wing. But in the past I have been there and they have forgotten items and a few times the servings have been really small.

Is that the same chain that used to be known as Lee's Famous Recipe Fried Chicken? If so, I remember them from my childhood. I grew up in Wayne and Westland... we used to love going there! The chicken was always good, but the biscuits were absolutely to die for. Wow, just thinking of it brought back such good memories. Thanks!!

Yes it is exactly that and the Lee's in my town seem to skimp more and more on their service and product.

    Hey kidz...

Lee's has been around such a long time, I'm sure they care about their company's reputation and customer satisfaction. I would find the number and/or address to corporate headquarters. Either call or write them a polite letter explaining the reasons for your dissatisfaction. Be explicit, citing as many dates and fact about the visits as you can. I would bet that you would get a nice response, maybe some coupons... and you can bet for sure they will look into the problems at that specific location. It sure can't hurt, and odds say you will see it getting better.

I agree-let the company know about the problems you are having. MOST good companies want you to be happy and will rectify the problem AND give you free food to make it up to you.

Also-when you come up on a good/great service, company-let them know. You will usually get on their mailing list and get coupons/freebies, too.

Oh I'm sorry to hear about the bad service you got... I fondly remember Lee's. I grew up in down-state Illinois. We used to eat there all the time, they used to be way better than KFC. Now that I'm in Tennessee, the closest one is in Middlesboro KY.

I sure wish we had one up here. Sounds like a good place other than that size problem. I agree with the others though, Write to the company and they'll probably rectify the situation!!
