Re: got a trojan horse HELP!
When I finally got my internet back I had to pay someone $60.00 to totally wipe out everything on my computer because of a virus. He had to download Windows with the cd's and everything. I still dont have good protection but I run Spybot Search, Ad-Aware and AVG Free everyday.

i had a recent problem like yours the it started with a c you will prob have to run the scan a few times if it cant get rid of the virus/trojan just type in the name in a yahoo search engine and you should find a webpage very easily that tells you how to remove it
Looks like it's just for Windows XP but I'm no computer genius. Thanks anyway. Gee I guess it's time for me to go out and buy something. I get baffled with things like this.

Re: got a trojan horse HELP!
try running whatever anti-virus software you have in safe mode
restart the computer and before it gets to the welcome screen (or whatever) press F8, then start in safe mode (not with networking) and see if that helps you.

Wow I was shocked to see that someone posted a coupon for cereal and it was some kind of virus. Don't know if it's true or not but I'm not printing it out.
