Though being overweight sure doesnt help, thin people have problems too. I had mine the old fashioned way but the gas was horrible after I had my tubes tied after son number 4. I would have gone thru 6 more labors to alleviate it. But here is some good news. I too was overweight and I lost weight after son number 1 and 2. I actually looked real good. But after sons 3 and 4 I kept it on.

Congrats and good luck. The pain and soreness will eventually go away. You will heal and have lots of time to enjoy and play with your son.

Aww, your baby is a cutie.
As far as C-sections, never had one. My sister-in-law had all 3 of her children that way. I do remember her being sore for a while and her saying she had really bad gas in the hospital. Don't know about after she got home. I know she would use a pillow to cough and she couldn't do any lifting for a while. Her youngest is 16 so I don't know if things have changed since she had hers.
If you run out of pain pills and need more call your doctors office and talk to them. Maybe he can give you a few more till you can get in.

I had a c section too and I will tell you it hurts..obviously they cut through muscle and you cannot use your stomach muscles to move around afterwards. Being overweight has nothing to do with the pain. Just be careful in how you move...use your arm strength to pull yourself up versus stomach muscles. It does get better after a few weeks..those first few days are a killer...What I am concerned about is your depression. If you can have a friend or family member sit with you and keep you company, that would be great...This could be a sign of post partum depression and I would check with your doctor and let him know if you feel depressed. Also after having a c section, you will be very gassy and that is natural and will go away too...good luck to you and congratulations on your new addition.

First off, I want to say that your baby is absolutely beautiful, CONGRATULATIONS!!! I had 3 C-sections (the first one 16 years ago) and I remember it was very painful and they didn't give me any pain meds to bring home. I know from experience that the more moving around that you do the faster the pain will go away. And definetly speak to your doctor about the depression. I hope that you are feeling better very soon.

    Congrats on the baby !!!!

Although I have never had a c-section, in November I had a total abdominal hysterectomy and I can say the GAS pains afterwards were horrible!!! VERY VERY painful, like labor pains even. So you have my warmest hugs and sympathy for your pain. I know it hurts My dr. gave me prescription senna to ease the gas pains and it did help, but dont plan on going anywhere the morning after you take them Might be worth asking your dr about ?? I hope your pain meds give you some relief until you get back into the dr. BIG BIG HUGS
You sound smarter when you keep your mouth shut.
