Oka I color my hair every 6 weeks, never had a problem, I always color it blonde. Sometimes I play with it and put in lighter color blonde then last time so that I have some light blonde streaks in my dark blonde hair, it looks really cute.

So I go buy some lighter colored blonde and thought that since I have kept my hair all one color that the lighter blonde streaks are due!

Well I go in the bathroom and put the color on and sat down to play some games on pogo. So about a half hour later I go in the bathroom to take a shower and look in the mirror to see how the color was doing and it was purple , oka no problem cause sometimes the color is different when on then when rinsed out.

So I take my shower and NOPE!! I have purple streaks in my hair, oka PURPLE GRAYISH STREAKS !!!!

Now what! I am gonna wait for it to dry and see how bad it looks but OH MY GOSH!!! Time to start going to the salon, lol

Im so sorry that this happened.Purple is my fave color so I bet it looks cool.Do you by any chance have a digital cam.I would love to see how your hair turns out.

Last time I dyed my Blond Hair Light Brown, It turned Green. right in time for St Pattys Day Parade.

I really want to dye my hair red.Last time I dyed it it was flame red.I loved it and so did dh.Now since I have been at my job for almost a year I dont know what anyone will say if I dyed it.Plus I work in a nursing home and I know some of the residents will make fun of me if it stands out to much.I thought about dying my hair a deep dark black purple.

Now that it is drying it seems alittle whiteish greyish purplish

I think if the color is an "ash" color-it may do that?
I have had that problem before only all my hair was a purplish green... Not bright but in the light it was that color! I can not use any color with "ash". If it does not fade you could use a semi permanate until it does?

Although if I dont time it right with other colors it pulls alot of reds.... I think I should just leave my hair alone...but I cant

Oh gosh, I'm sorry! I color my hair all the time, and have learned from my mistakes! If I put "ash" anything in my hair it turns black! Right now I'm using the Loreal color and highlighting box.

I have been there too...........some boxes contain "Bad mixes". I had one that was supposed to turn my hair red, but it became purple as well. Dont get me wrong, I love purple too, but I had to run to the salon for that one! Maybe it does look cool..........we do want a picture!

Call the 800 number on the box and find out why you ended up purple so you don't make the same mistake again. The help line people can assist you.
