Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
i think to do something like that you seriously have a screw loose. it doesn't matter if you only lifted him off the floor a few inches. i hope you lock the all the plastic bags up with your chemicals
Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
Didn't you originally say you flung it over your shoulder like Santa Claus? Now it was a few inches off the floor? I'm sorry, but nobody in their right mind would put a child inside of ANY plastic bag. If I were you; I would make sure I put ANY AND ALL plastic bags out of reach until he is older, because at his age, he probably thinks they are toys now. My son is 4, and I have to hide them from him or he plays with them.
Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
she must be a little person. i know when i hoist my kid over my shoulder in a garbage sack he's a lot more than a few inches off the floor

i am confused are you calling me a freak? I mean i am a lil freak with husband and all LOL LOL LOL
Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
No sorry Catrina. I quoted the wrong thing. Hey I am a freak too and you can get freaky all you want-no one is stopping you. I mean the other F...since I am not allowed to say that on here.
I am 4ft 9 so I am short. Not everyone is as tall. My son do not play with garbage bags or any other plastic bags so don't start assuming-however, my oldest son who is 5 puts garbage bags in the kitchen garbage can. Are you going to tell me that he can't do er...I can't have him do that?

Just make sure no one is in them when he does. :D
Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
there is a big difference between putting your 3 year old in a trash bag, and a 5 year old helping with chores. (providing they are being supervised of course) if you keep your trash bags locked up with the chemicals it shouldn't really be an issue anyway.
Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
I dont' really need to supervise my 5 year old as much. He is almost like the little boy in "simple life" 1st season the way he helps out with chores. He does not touch the knives because I put them up first-he helps me with dishes, cleaning the cat litter :p etc.
As for chemicals, I don't have much and all that I have is up and out of reach. Even I can't get it unless my hubby gets it which sucks being short.
Re: Hefty Ultra Flex vs. Glad Force Flex
I just wanted to say that I don't think those force flex are all that good, I did the same as someone else and my finger went right threw it, seems as though they tear just as easy or maybe easier.
Oka as far as putting your child in the trash bag, umm I can't really see where you thought it was harmless,(I personally would never put either of my children or anybody else's for that matter in a garbage bag, it just doesn't sound right) but you need to see what others are telling you. They are not flaming, or telling you what they are saying just to p you off they are telling you this because this could potentially cause a problem if your 5 year old (whom you say you don't need to supervise when doing the garbage bags) all of a sudden hears spongebob or a awesome cartoon come on in the other room and drop the bag to run and see whats its all about then your other child climbs into the bag to "play" because it was so fun before, then could potentially suffocate, and while all this is happening, which it can and would happen fairly quickly you could be doing something as simple as going to the restroom or picking up a few toys in the other room, you might not know until its too late, I would say that its a terrible idea and you should make certain its clear to your children that garbage bags are off limits. and they are not a toy. I'm sure I'm beating a dead horse here, but there's no way to leave this thread without commenting...
I'm sorry the trash bags did not live up to your expectations, however, it is deeply disturbing that you would test the strength of one of them by possibly harming your child or by setting them up for a future fatal injury.. :(
