concern about the number of post

I notice threads about the number of posts and about them dissappearing , etc. Is there a reason why the number of posts are important other than just curiosity or interest in counting them?

I'm amazed that I've ran my mouth as much as I have. Especially since I honestly try not to reply to posts to pad my post count. Like I've seen so many others do. When I reply to someone (other than as an opinion on something), I honestly mean it. If I don't have anything sincere to say, I keep my mouth shut. I hate false sincerity myself.

Posts basically tell others who have a life & who don't. =) A lot of people have nothing worthy to worry about in their lives, other than how many posts they can make on a site. {shrug** It's the impression I have gotten over the past 6-7 yrs. I have been online.

The day posts were deleted, I had glanced at how many I had, and was amazed. I'm a quiet person and couldn't believe I had posted that much. I lost about 100 posts (probably from chain game threads), but I don't see where high post numbers matter one way or another.

I really don't look at how many posts I have. Once in a while I will look and think dang I didn't realize I had posted that much. I usually post to help someone or give a opinion, or find a code something like that.

The only time I know what my post count is, is when I am posting in "post count" in chain games LOL

I did notice when I got 1000 (only because it took me 4 years lol) after that, I could care less.... I just talk a lot LOL

Well you're a bit rude aren't you? Just because someone posts/doesn't post it doesn't reflect on how much of a life they have. I have more posts than you do, but I assure you I live quite a fulfilling life.

LOL i just started a thread about it to lighten up the day for me and maybe for another person..........Could care less about how many i have or dont have.....doesnt matter to me, but what does matter to me is a happy day for everyone. And as for the life or no life............just because you dont post here or in other places doesnt mean a person is not on the net doing other things or lurking and reading......
Amazing how some people are so quick to judge before pulling down the mirror and looking in it at themselves.......
