A Silly Whine About Dd New Clothing
My Inlaws Bought Her A Gorgeous Outfit From Jc Penneys For Her Birthday Its Embroidered (sp?) And Has Very Nice Colors The Problem Is The Length Of The Pants Are Too Long Because She Is Heavy
Usually 12's Fit Good In Lenghth But These Are Made Longer ... My Inlaws Wont Let Us Return Them Because They Really Wanted Her To Have Them And She Loves Them And Wont Let Me Take Them Back Either...i Thought Of Hemming Them Butttt The Prettiest Part Is On The Lower Cuff Of The Jeans And If I Cut It Off It Ruins The Jeans ..do U Know Of Any Thing I Can Do To Fix Them Without Ruining Them?

How old is she? How about if she wears a shoe, boot or sneaker with a bit of a heel? That would help to make her a bit taller.

Do the jeans fit good in the waste? If so, maybe you can just return them for a different size...the grandparents will never have to know!

Re: A Silly Whine About Dd New Clothing
Can you check with JC Penny's to see if they come in shorter lengths? That way you can exchange them and then none would be the wiser.

What's the sense in keeping a pair of pants that don't fit???? Take them back and let het pick out something she loves AND fits...the grandparents will get over it

WON'T LET YOU? YOU are the parent, not them. Why keep a pair of pants the child cannot wear?

TRy to fit a size 12 Junior or petite - there is a big difference between 12 reg and 12 petite/junior in length!
Sometimes, the good you do doesn't do you any good.

Re: A Silly Whine About Dd New Clothing
go right above where the pretty part of the pant is and fold in the length that is too much. Then sew it so that it looks more like a seam than anything else. It won't ruin the look of the pants and you will be able to let them out as she grows taller.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.
